With more and more misinformation about our product line coming from XPH and MAD ( same owner by the way), on the forums we feel it’s appropriate to address these claims with facts rather than speculation.
We generally avoid commenting on competitors, but since our product was specifically mentioned, we’d like to clarify a few points.
The IRL V2 Modular Midpipe and Modular Catback have undergone extensive research, development, flow testing, and real world dyno and street validation . It has consistently demonstrated performance gains that place it among the highest performing midpipes and exhausts available for the platform. Our design wasn’t created by simply increasing pipe diameter it was engineered to optimize exhaust gas velocity, scavenging, flow characteristics, and overall efficiency.
Simply making a pipe larger does not inherently improve performance. In exhaust engineering, proper flow management and transition design are far more important than diameter alone. To date, we have not seen any published flow bench data, dyno testing, or engineering validation supporting the performance claims being made about any of your competing products Marketing claims should always be backed by measurable data.
Before stating that our design offers “nothing to gain,” or “ bad design”we’d encourage taking the time to review the engineering, testing, and documented results behind the IRL V2 Modular Midpipe and Modular Exhaust. The available data tells a very different story.
There’s a reason many enthusiasts chasing maximum performance consistently choose the IRL productsinstead of simply purchasing the least expensive option available. Our focus has always been measurable performance, proven engineering, and real world results.
Finally, we aren’t interested in thread jacking or turning technical discussions into brand wars. If anyone has questions about our design philosophy, testing methodology, or performance data, we’re always happy to provide information so customers can make informed decisions based on evidence rather than opinions you make on these forums.
