Small progress today on the Baja Final Form project. Old 20 year old bulbs out and new ones in and for the first time in a long time this switch is fully operational!!! Process was simple yet does take a delicate touch. Ill have a video out soon going over what i did.
Now ill have to do all the burned out bulbs in my Outback switches as well.😄

While working on the Baja Final Form project, tried to test the heated seats switches in my 00 Outback. As with most switches of this vintage from Subaru the tiny bulbs are dead. NILES Japan made the switches and after some searching found some replacement bulbs. Think im going to need a magnifier glass for this.😏

In an effort to prep the Baja for its Final Form I wanted to add the full leather power and heated seats. Got a set of seats from a parts car and got this 04 outback wiring harness off ebay. After a few hours of de-pinning and cutting i got it trimmed to to just about what i need. Waiting on some new bulbs for the switches and then can test everything before install. Ill have a video posted at something with the process.

Took the better part of 6 months. Tons of scrubbing, vacuuming, ozone machine treatments, fabreeze and just letting it air out, but at long last the Baja does not smell anymore and serious work can begin.
I still can not find where the mice got into it which is unnerving, but all things in good time I guess.

Another win for the home team! Ran the SCCA-NNJR 2nd Hand Roads Rally last weekend. Great course and the turn out was very good. Starting point hosr was Subaru World of Newton, NJ , so you know we had to rep OVERTAKE. We took 1st in our class!!! Thanks to everyone that made it happen, we had a great time.

Trying to find authentic OEM STi or just Subaru accessories in general is becoming harder and harder for the older models. That why when I saw these Sti door sills and SG9 rain guards pop up I did not even blink. Ive been looking for a set of these rain guards for years. Both parts need a little fixing and tlc, but find and getting them was the hard part.
