Bucketlist Item #3 for the Year

We're going to be doing some EPIC s**t in July.

What a feeling when things fall into place and seemingly get better and better with small refinements.

I had a sneaking suspicion this may work, and it did, far, far better than I would have expected.

Adding a front mustache wing and side plate winglets may be a bit of an eyesore to some, but the results are staggering.

I shouldn't say the exact numbers, but the difference here (which I have video proof of) felt exceptional. Let's say speed XX on previous setup felt moderately stable and now with aero as the only change, it feels that same level of stability (if not better) at +30mph over where it used to be. Cornering on a similar section of road was anywhere from 5-8mph gain.

The change is enough to where I come back home less fatigued than ever simply due to not fighting crosswinds or front wheel lift.

Wait... That's the other thing. The bike can now take a handful of throttle without the nose picking up. I'm in total disbelief.

What a cool way to "Level Up."

Day 3 of Roads to Recovery

Fort Bragg to Leggett (epic), possibly the best roads I've ever been on. An absolute MUST ride/drive.

Leggett to Benbow Inn for a quick pitstop to admire the beautiful German architecture and craftsmanship.

Benbow to Alderpoint to Hwy 36 is defined as a "one and done" road to do once in my lifetime, but never again. Horrific road, gravel and off-road sections throughout on the way through Zenia, then the road falling away all along the way to 36.

Hwy 36 is full of road snakes all throughout and pretty mediocre until Platina to Red Bluff where it has a whoops section of gorgeous undulating curves which I feel I could go back and forth over and over again here.

Side note, I managed over 200mi in a tank on this day (50+mpg), which is somewhat disturbing and points to the "GT-ness" duality of this bike being unmatched due to the triple cylinder design.

Got to the hotel completely wiped out and met up with the Pashnit Motorcycle Tour guys. A warm welcome and solid dinner and margarita combo at Casa Ramos across the street and it was off to bed early. Time to recharge before Yreka tomorrow.

Day 2 of Roads of Recovery

Guerneville to Jenner to Skaggs Springs to Cloverdale to Fort Bragg.

Skaggs towards the coast is pretty brutal on the body, so I decided to shortcut through Hwy 128 instead of Hwy 20 as intended. Making sure to give the body proper R&R so I can enjoy this trip to the fullest.

I'll hit Hwy 20 on the way back home, so no big deal.

All of Hwy 1 was exceptional today and despite the heavy headwind conditions, downright epic. I'm amazed at how good the local traffic drives up here compared to other sections of California, and Oregon Coastal, which is the opposite end of the spectrum.

Made sure to top off fuel and add some tire pressure for the next leg of the journey.
