It was a busy day!!!

We diced/chopped/shredded:
8lbs of jalapeños
6lbs of onions
5.8lbs of green peppers
9.6lbs of zucchini

And processed:
50lbs of tomatoes

Whewww That’s enough for today — tomorrow our first batch of salsa for the 2026 season will be cooked & canned!

I just picked up our first batch of locally grown jalapeños from our supplier right here in Shawano! Supporting local growers is important to us, and we work hard to bring you the freshest ingredients and the best salsa possible.

And there’s even more produce coming today! You know what that means … salsa season officially kicks off next week!

The early mornings, long (and hot!) days of chopping, processing, cooking, and canning are just around the corner—and we couldn’t be more excited.
