EUTZY TAKES WIN AFTER 7 CAR BATTLE
By Judy McGee Timmons

Jeremy Eutzy started in 5th position, but pulled by Kevin Bard, Brock Foster, Terry Perry, & Justin Bucher to take the lead when the green flag waved, in the Cisney’s Auto Parts 4 Cylinder Thunder Car feature.

Bard moved to second as Bucher & Foster went into wheel to wheel action resulting in Foster taking control of third. Aaron Updegraff also passed Bucher to move into 4th, as a caution brought the racers to a restart when Wes Young’s racer went out of control in turn two, moving him to the rear.

Jeremy Eutzy led the competition to the green, with Bard in his tracks, while Foster & Updegraff, battled for third. Jackson Eutzy pulled into 5th, followed by Ronnie Buck, Cameron Defenderfer, & Kenny Hill, decreasing the space between racers, as they ran two or three abreast to advance position.

Jackson Eutzy moved to 4th, as Bard & Updegraff continued to put the pressure on the leader, with Buck, Defenderfer, & Foster closing the gaps for a 7 car contest. Defenderfer left the track with a flat tire, returning to the track as Jackson Eutzy & Updegraff competed for third.

The tension increased as the laps decreased, but Jeremy Eutzy had the checkered flag in sight, keeping his racer at the top, collecting the win ahead of Bard, Updegraff, Jackson Eutzy, Buck, Defenderfer, & Foster. Heat winners were Parker Starr, Jackson Eutzy and & Mike Racine.

Brett Perigo & Brandon Shearer brought the Metzler Auto, Truck & Trailer Wingless Super Sportsman to the green, with Perigo taking the lead, as Shearer followed in 2nd, ahead of Donnie Farlling & Brad Kling, till lap 7, when Kling left the oval, creating the first caution. Perigo led on the restart, as Shearer, Farlling, Luke Lenker, & Eric Walker, were now in control of the top 5, where they remained for 23 nonstop laps, with Perigo claiming the win. Brad Mellott, Dexter Ehrenzeller, Craig Perigo, Brad Cowan, & Billy Doyle finished out the top ten. Brett Perigo had the best lap, traveling at 67.781 MPH in 13.278 seconds. Brett Perigo & Craig Perigo were the heat event winners.

The Macri Concrete 600 Micro Sprints had polesitter, Darren Kauffman, take the first lap lead, as Shawn Rumbaugh, Jim Young, Tanner Pressley, & Conner Fetrow filled in the top five spots. Rumbaugh pulled beside Kauffman, but Kauffman held his position, while Pressley brought his ride into 2nd, after passing Fetrow, Young, & Rumbaugh. Fetrow brought his racer past Young & Rumbaugh, to take control of third, as Young also passed Rumbaugh, taking over 4th position while approaching midrace.

The top five ran non-stop for the second half of the event till Ben Irvin & Camden Cooper exited the oval with 19 of the 20 laps complete. Tanner Pressley made his move, taking over the lead from Kauffman, then escorting the field to the checkered flag lap. Darren Kauffman had the best lap, racing at 75.125 MPH in 11.980 seconds. Darren Kauffman & Conner Fetrow were the 600 heat event winners.

The Zachary D. Crouse DVM & Friese Motorsports East Coast Legend drivers met the green with Owen Wagaman & Tyler Rampmeyer at the helm of the 24 car field. Rampmeyer took the lead as Wagaman, Conner Tracy, Scott Musselman, & Lincoln Kearchner pulled out for the first lap top five, before a caution for Musselman was shown, putting the racers into a reline, & Musselman to the rear. Rampmeyer, Wagaman, Tracy, L. Kearchner & Logan Jones became the top five runners, but Jeremy Ott was gradually racing from his 12th place starting position, to the front of the line.

A caution for Dalton Friese, slowed the racers, for a second restart, with Rampmeyer & Wagaman maintaining the top two positions. Ott took his ride to the top side of the oval, putting him in a better position to pass & advance with his competition, as he moved to the front. Logan Jones was also on the move, passing Tracy & Lincoln Kearchner, to take third. Ott also passed Tracy, & L. Kearchner, continuing forward to pass Jones, then pulled beside Wagaman for some wheel to wheel action, for 2 laps. Ott advanced to second place, then continued his mission, by taking the lead ahead of Rampmeyer. Jones was also keeping his ride in the forward motion, as he pulled by Wagaman & L. Kearchner to take second position as Ott passed the checkered flag. Wagaman, Kearchner, & Ryan Walls completed the top five finishers. Jeremy Ott had the best lap running 63.939 MPH in 14.076 seconds. The Legend heat winners were Tyler Rampmeyer, Jeremy Ott, Ryan Walls & Scott Musselman.

The T.A. Ward Construction 270 Sprints feature posted Cory Myers, & Stephanie Welk at the top of the roster, with Myers taking the first lap lead. Jason Houtz, Mason McAndrew, Dakota Yeingst, & Brett Kauffman, pulled into the top spots, but a first lap caution for McAndrew took the racer out of the competition.
Myers led on the restart as Houtz, Yeingst, Kauffman & Zach Glass followed in the top spots.

The next 8 laps became an upset for many drivers, as the cautions put Drew Sullivan, Stacey Galanis, Jamie Connelly, Mark Knable, Mark Gordon, & Bobby Bush, out of the race. Cameron McClure pulled his racer beside Glass in his bid to collect the top five spot but Glass held his position, then passed Kauffman to claim 4th.

Bradyn Kuhn brought his racer from the back of the pack to take over 5th place with four laps remaining, where he finished behind Myers, Houtz, Glass & Yeingst. Cory Myers had the best lap, racing at 74.707 MPH in 12.047 seconds. Heat winners were Cameron McClure, Brett Kauffman, and Zach Glass.

The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing {EMMR}, located in York Springs, Pa., made an appearance at the speedway, giving the fans a taste of how racing used to look, back in the day! Several classes of Vintage cars shared the quarter mile oval, to display varied types, styles & motor setups of how race cars used to look, & race. A wonderful organization in business to preserve the sport of past, present, & future racing, & a definite place to visit, with their museum & literature.

Path Valley returns to racing on June 6th with the Austin Gelwicks Memorial in the Cisney’s Auto Parts 4 Cylinder Thunder Car division, T.A. Ward Construction 270 Micro Sprints, Dr. Zachary Crouse DVM sponsored Topless Late Models, with a $2000.00 plus payout to the feature winner, Macri Concrete 600 Micro Sprints & the Randy Burkholder Racing Supplies Strictly Stocks.
