Quick update on 2-1B.

Finished his internals and from the waist down. Added the greebles to the head and completed the upper torso.

Clear PETG is arriving today. So, I’ll be taking a stab at printing in clear.

Progress is progress. Even only spending a few minutes after each session the Super Battle Droid is coming along.

After several days of tedious masking, Vincent has his black areas painted.

I realized after the fact that I should have painted his backpack first. Oh well. I’ve made worse mistakes. I’ll just make sure to wait over a week before attempting to mask the black.

I’ll concentrate on sanding and painting his feet and then finish painting his legs. By the time that’s finished, the black should be dry enough.

Another finishing detail I am excited about is the ability to give him a voice and a brain!
Sort of. I will be receiving and installing a small electronic gizmo that has a self contained Chat GPT. More on this once I have it. From what I have learned so far, you can program a personality, it can mimic a voice after listening to a 30 sec clip, and it can control servos for movements. All for under $50! I cannot wait to dive in and share my experience.
