Fast forward 31 years.

I was about 8 years old when the first Toy Story came out in 1995. Last night I took my boys to see Toy Story 5 at Field of Dreams Drive-In Theater - Liberty Center.

Sitting there waiting for the movie to start, watching the sun go down and seeing all the cars lined up brought back a lot of memories. I can remember going to the drive in as a kid with my family and cousins.

How cool is it that all these years later I get to do the same thing with my own boys.

And honestly, how great is it that we have a place like this right here in our backyard. There aren't many drive ins left, and I'm glad my boys get to experience it too.

Right as the movie was getting ready to start, we all happened to catch a shooting star across the sky. It was one of those little moments that just made the night even better. 🌠

Throughout my life, there have only been a handful of people who have really stood out to me. Harry was one of them.

Harry was the real deal. Even at over 90 years old, he was still giving his time to others, serving his church, and helping make our community a better place. His love for God, family, and community showed in everything he did, and that's something I always admired about him.

Our Thursday mornings with Backpack Buddies won't be the same without you there.

You will be missed, my friend.

Free lunches for kids are available every weekday at the Swanton Public Library from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM through August 5. Glad to be a small part of a great program for local families! 📚 💜 🍎

The boys and I had a great time at HOOVES today. Great people, a great cause, and a beautiful afternoon. We couldn’t decide what sounded best to eat, so we ended up stopping at all three trucks, and they did not disappoint! 😄 We also spent some time with the horses and enjoyed everything the event had to offer.
