Alien Throne, one of New Mexico's most beautiful and iconic rock formations tragically collapsed during a recent rainstorm in the Bisti Badlands. It's a location I've explored and photographed many times, as you can see from this video last year with my good friend Rene. It's a reminder that we should make the most of our experiences in nature while we can - you never know when the next flood, wildfire, earthquake, etc. will change the land forever, or when we ourselves will no longer have the mobility to access such places.
