A seized engine. A new chapter for this BMW. 🔧

This 2014 BMW 320i had been driving normally until one day it would no longer start. Our inspection confirmed that the engine was seized and needed replacement.

We sourced a used engine with a 6-month supplier warranty and completed additional preparation before installation:

✔️ Resealed the engine and replaced gaskets and seals, including the oil pan and oil filter housing gaskets.
✔️ Replaced the timing chain.
✔️ Installed new spark plugs.

With the engine out, this is the right time to address these items and reduce the risk of future leaks and costly repeat disassembly.

The full job takes three days: two days for removal, disassembly and engine preparation, followed by installation on day three.

The engine is now ready for installation. This BMW will be back on the road soon! 🚘

🛡️ Engine warranty: 6 months from the supplier.
🛡️ AutoExpert labor warranty: 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
