I get to do some pretty cool things and meet some pretty cool people doing what I do. This one is pretty cool, though! This printed baseball home plate is going to the Philippines later this week for a group of kids to make a lifetime of memories around! 🧡 All because a local student here in CS wanted to collect used baseball equipment for them to play with! Love it!

The project we started this morning is finally completed!

Tuesday we went on a scavenger hunt and found some unexpected treasures…old fire hoses…and they happened to be red, white and blue! Perfect find for this week, right?!

Today, we finally got a chance to create the image that popped into my head when I saw them.

It ended up about 4’ tall and 6’ wide! It’s not perfect, but it sure is cool to look at.

Questions from a tired smoke detector owner:

Here we are again with the questions that I feel pop up only on a holiday or at midnight on a holiday…

1. Do smoke detectors know what day/time it is?

2. Do they know that we know that we finally don’t have to wake up with an alarm in the wee hours of the morning before the sun shows its face?

3. Do they ALWAYS have to go off in the middle of the night to let you know…hey I think I’m done. You can replace my batteries, put me back together, but I think I’m just gonna go ahead and say, nah I’m good. It’s time for you to just replace me. ?!?!?!

4. Do they know that your dogs will have a complete meltdown unless you put said smoke detector on the back porch by the pool at midnight? Maybe the detector just wanted to have one last poolside sesh before heading off the the garbáge this morning?

**I KNOW they are beneficial to have, I just deal with annoying things with sarcasm. So, drop your sarcastic responses to my questions in the comments.
