A rare find with this 1994 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione II, still the odd one or two available but the prices are going up and up in the Japanese dealer auctions too. The final and most refined iteration of the rally-bred icon, stands as a testament to Lancia’s dominance in the World Rally Championship during the late ‘80s and early ‘90s Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 16-valve engine and an impressive 215 horsepower.

While not in perfect condition as, expected with a rally car really, this one comes in at only 77,000kms and with the oringal aluminium wheels and Momo steering wheel. Plus of course the iconic rear spoiler giving I that unmistakable look. Obviously it’s a manual too.

And now for something a bit different, coming in with a pint-sized 660cc engine we have a Suzuki Carry in beautiful condition. These mini trucks are know as Kei Trucks or KeiTora(軽トラ）for short. You will see these all over Japan, and over the last few years they are becoming a cult classic overseas too. A really versatile vehicle that fills a lot of gaps in the market.

Despite the exterior almost never changing, these are all still being produced up until today with this one from 2012. Being a 2012 model you have some more modern comforts with air conditioning and power steering. It is also a 4WD , so it’s got some pulling power to get off road. This particular model only had 10,000kms, so despite the boom there are still real bargins to be had.

One for the boy racers today with a 2018 Volkswagen Golf R up in Nagoya today at the Japanese used car dealer auctions. Compared to most of the cars you’ll see in the auction over here, this one has been fairly well driven. Still even at 57,000kms it still only comes out to about 7,000 miles a year. Of course it`s still in tidy condition and rated 4.

This model R comes with a turbo charged 2.0 engine, and a 7 speed dual automatic clutch. It’s all in stock condition, with the original aluminium wheels, navigation and reverse camera and racing leather seats. Now with the yen dropping there are more and more of these mid grade models going overseas, doesn’t hurt that you can get 5 into a container either.

A bit different to most of the cars I like, this is not a car designed to be driven but to be a passenger in. Since the 1960s the Toyota Century has been the car of choice to be chauffeured around in if you are a Japanese Prime Minister, business tycoon or Yakuza boss.

From the first model the exterior has rarely been updated, keep the same unshowy, refined look. This particular model cited today in Tokyo is from 2019, and the 106,000kms on it shows it’s taken the owner to a fair amount of meetings over that time. Despite this it is still in good cosmetic condition, has clearly been treated with care and has a 4 rating overall. A real Japanese classic and a little bit of a taste of past times.

Ok, this is definitely a “love it or hate” kind of car, but I have got to admit I actually think it looks really fun. This is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sports, but as you can tell it’s been heavily customised down to the “Angry” grill giving the headlights that eye like look. The car itself is in good condition and only has 60,000km on it, it’s an RHD model too.

One of the less obvious upgrades is they have added a full touchscreen navigation and reverse camera set up, which is obviously appreciated. All the lights have been switched out to LED and there’s also an LED bar on the grill. The Wrangler has also been lifted and had the body upgraded, as well as new exhausts. The more unique and personalized a car is generally the cheaper the price they will go for at auction, dealers don’t want to take the risk on them so they can be a bargain. If it’s to your taste of course!

The classic JZX100 model Toyota Chaser Tourer V, one of the best looking sedan platforms out there. A genuine classic. While this one from 2001 does have 100,000kms it’s still in great condition and, amazingly, comes with all the original books and full service history. Not something you see everyday for a car old enough to buy a beer.

Looking great in white and fitted with the original body kit parts, this one has also had some nice customisations as well. There are the lovely 18inch aluminium wheels and exhaust from Work, and Xenon headlights.

I know, I know, it’s not red… But I think this 2020 Ferrari F8 Tribute looks stunning in the Blu Corsa color. If you can look past that, you will see the beauty of this one, down the off blue interior. AS if often the case in these auctions, despite being more than 3 years old, it’s still listed as being in almost as new condition with just over 5,000km on the clock. Honestly, the quality and care put into the used cars available here is amazing.

The F8 Tributo came loaded with a 3.9l twin turbocharged V8 kicking out 7111bhp through a 7. Speed automatic transmission. This particular one has all the top features from gorgeous original 20inch Ferrari wheels, covered in carbon fibre from the front all the way through to the rear diffuser down to the dual titanium exhausts. All in almost as new condition.

Coming in with less than 16,000km listed today in Nagoya, we can see this great 2017 Audi TT RS. The RS has a 2.5l engine and full 4WD getting you form 0-100km in 3.7 seconds, with the classic TT style down to the basically unusable back seats.

This particular TT comes in red and has been nicely upgraded as well. There is a Eventuri carbon air intake system fitted, 20inch East aluminium wheels from Work and, as you can probably see, lowered sus kit from H&R. This one is in RHD but you do see the occasional LHD that’s ready to go back to Europe too.

A real classic Nissan ZX300 from 1989, the last year for this model to be produced. This one in silver is listed today in Sapporo, while not in fully mint condition it’s still aged very well considering it’s almost 35. Definitely an exciting opportunity for somebody to get hold of a car that’s becoming increasingly rare.

One of what is known as the Fairlady Z series in Japan, the ZX300 came with a 3.0l twin turbo engine pumping out about 300hp and getting you from 0-60 in about 5 seconds. One great feature of this model is that it has the T-Bar roof, a staple of all of the early Nissan Zs which of course you’re sad not going to find anymore.

A 2003 Honda S2000 listed today in Yokohama. Auction rating 4.5 so it’s in great condition, and only just under 35,000km on the meter too. A really fun, funky convertible with 6 speed manual gearbox, produced in limited quantities and only getting rarer as the years go by.

This S2000 has a Momo steering wheel and Recaro seats matching the red exterior and interior. There are some cool 17 inch Rays wheels, a good amount of carbon all over her and you can see on the back a couple of very nice Mugen mufflers, amongst other custom parts.
