This is a stock Defender with factory steps, original wheels, air conditioning, 5 Spd, snorkel, and the 300 TDI motor.

I dare say you won't find a 25 year old Defender this clean and straight unless it had already gone through total restoration.

The S. African Rand to the US dollar is at an amazing rate right now. One US dollar today is 18.2 Rand. It was about 15.3 around a year ago. This gives you massive buying power with less money right now.

You can pick this Defender up for about $16,500, as is. Throw on a lift kit, LED lights, and 33" tires and you have a really bad ass D110 for under $20K. The shop in S. Africa can do this work before shipping it stateside to you.

This nearly stock Defender 110, one-owner, low mileage (106k miles), turbo diesel rig is available. The lifted picture with black wheels and mudders is just an example of how different this D110 could look with minimal extra expense. The price of this stock D110 is only $15,500 at the moment, which is a steal. Add your mods and you can still be under $21,500 total!

It has air conditioning, 300 TDI turbo diesel, a front winch bumper, a winch, snorkel, rear tire carrier, roof rack, ladder, and side step bars. The custom shop in S. BUILT D90 AVAILABLE

This 1997 Defender 90, 300 TDI, 5-speed, lifted, with 33" tires has almost everything done already. It's got a safari rack, rooftop tent, side awning, front brush guard, tow hitch, snorkel, and more. Even with all of this and with Full-time 4-wheel drive, the turbo diesel gets 20 mpg.

The asking price on this rig is little higher but considering everything that's already done on it, it's a bargain. Looks very stealth in carbon grey paint and you even get an onboard refrigerator, rear drawer system, utility lights, Jerry cans, Water cans, a field shower, and dining table.

This is a turn-key camping and overlanding rig at a used stock Jeep price.

CLEANEST D110 2.8L (BMW Engine) EVER

This beautiful, one-owner, BMW-powered, 2.8L gas D110 just appeared for sale. It is clearly a very straight and clean vehicle. Maybe the the best 1997 stock Defender I've seen.

They only made the BMW (M52) powered Defenders for a 4-year run and only from the South Africa factory during the period when BMW owned Land Rover. There are about 1,000 of these still in service today, making them the rarest Defenders you can find, other than the 2015/2016 Heritage Editions. That said, it has the BMW 2.8 petrol motor which will run for 500,000 miles and you can buy parts for these anywhere.

This D110 is like factory new with original flooring, seating, paint, and running gear. Only 80K original miles!

If you are interested, let's move fast because this vehicle is like the unicorn of Defenders and it will get bought up quick.

As of this post, these Defenders are available but don't sleep on one or both if you are interested. These are all import eligible so they will sell quickly.

First up, a '97 Defender 90, 300 TDI Turbo Diesel, 5 Spd, fresh white paint, factory air conditioning, power steering & brakes, power central door locks, Bull Bar, off-road lights, roof rack, rear ladder, and side step bars. As is price: $20,500

Next, a '96 Defender 110, 300 TDI Turbo Diesel, 5 Spd, white factory paint, air conditioning, original side steps all around, recently replaced cam belt and front main seals, roof rack and ladder NOT included but easily added, if wanted. As is price: $18000

Either of these can be customized and upgraded however you want. Option include suspension lifts, upgraded wheels and tires, rooftop tents, winch bumpers, winches, off-road LED lights, LED brake, turn signals, and headlights, and custom interior seating. This clean D90 has been restored and is ready to export to the USA or Canada. She's running the original Turbo-diesel, 5-speed gearbox, and a completely new suspension.

We can get this rig on some Land Rover Sawtooth rims, slap some aggressive tires on it, and you'd have yourself a very sweet Defender!
