A-R-T: They are not rocket science, but reasoned and within the grasp of any motorcyclist, young or old. Whether you are new to the fold or returning as a “Rusty Rider”, reinforcing some basic rules and techniques will save time, money and quite probably your limbs or life. Most riders become regular motorcyclists once the excitement and thrill of riding has worked into their soul. Nearly all star

t young and stay connected to 2 wheels; life and family often intervenes, but the desire to continue the experiences only a motorcycle ride can give you, stays for life. I want you to join me in ensuring you ride as safely as possible, for as long as you enjoy 2 wheels. Mark Cooper: I have been riding all size motorcycles for over 30 years. I am lucky to have both Sport & Trail bikes to ride. The experiences gained on the road, track and trail have given me a great number of pointers and a unique perspective on safety and fun at the same time. I am originally from the UK, where I perfected my proficiencies with Royal Automobile Club and Advanced Motorcycling Association training, but currently based near Durbanville, Western Cape. However, a certificate of proficiency or attendance does not make you a safe rider, nor your ride enjoyable. Using the information you gain to do both is what really counts. There are 3 Keys :

1) Positioning of the rider and machine
2) Recognizing all the hazards, and they are ALL hazards, even the straights,
3) Assessing what to do with the information gathered as you ride. It is ok to smell the roses; just assess the danger they pose. My USP arises from utilising Rider to Rider Bluetooth helmet communication and Video playback. The aural debrief is instant; the video captures the good, the bad and the incredibly lucky to get away with moments; all while maintaining safety. Let me structure a training plan for you based on your personal circumstances. 1 hour or 10, it doesn’t matter as long as you know more when you finish and I have helped you safely enjoy the world of motorcycles.
