You’ve decided to compare service quotes before heading off on your holiday. A local independent workshop comes highly recommended. But a small voice in your head says “What makes them reputable? What should I check?”
That’s a fair question.
The Guidelines allow you to use a reputable independent service provider during your warranty period. In plain terms, reputable means:
✅ They use qualified mechanics or technicians
✅ They follow recognised service standards and the manufacturer’s schedule
✅ They use legitimate, traceable parts and fluids
✅ They record the service properly in your service book or digital record
✅ They carry appropriate commercial insurance
It does not mean they must carry a specific brand logo.
💡 A small amount of homework checking that a workshop is reputable can end up saving you a serious amount of money!
🎯 Before you book, ask: Will you update my service record and can I get an itemised invoice showing parts and oil used?
