The next car I was happy to see at the was the (facelift) Fiat 500 🙋🏼‍♂️

As a small car enthusiast and having had a chance to drive a 500 quite often I have become so much of a fan.

At first glance, the size of the cute 500 would make you wonder how spacious it can actually be, but let me tell you, being six foot five, I find myself fitting perfectly well.

The interior is plush, modern, simple and perfectly designed. The gear k**b (or buttons) are just in reach, the pedals at the right angle. You find yourself in the driving position ready to race, robot to robot.

When looking under the hood, you might find yourself thinking is that all, at the size of the engine, however the incredibly engineered engine in the 500 delivers the right amount of power to let this compact hatchback that gets you smiling from ear to ear. The engine noise, the shift of the gears and agile steering all create an amazing experience behind the wheel.

The truly Italian hatchback encompasses the unique and soft design language used to make this such an iconic car. The color options, interior options and mixed in with safety and modern technology have brought the 500 to the new world and a must experience car.

Overall I believe the Fiat 500 has stuck to its roots of being the hatch back of choice when it comes to practicality for the price you pay.

If you are a student, newly graduated or someone wanting to have a car that got you from A-B but with a certain pen-ash and attitude, I highly recommend giving the 500 a drive.

I look forward to a chance to experience the new 500 and put its technology and zesty appearance to the test!

The very first car I was excited to see at the Festival of Motoring was the Ora, the all electric hatch offering from .

From initial viewing, I found the design language used was beyond anything I’d have expected. The lines, the colors, the interior quality, just everything. Perfect.

I don’t want to take away from the car by using the words “CUTE”, but it is. There is so much you can recognize from the market in the car in a sense of influence but also so different. The stance is sporty, the unique and color coded rims, the GT inspired wing ontop of the boot, the single headlights and the carbon inspired trimmings around the car all added to a beautiful example of an all electric hatch that would without a doubt stand it’s own ground.

I certainly believe this car will aspire to first time drivers, and the working individual that wants a sporty hatch, but efficient, and of course comfy.

Once you are inside, you are met with impeccable build quality, the touch and feel of the buttons shows the thought that has been put into the feel of the buttons. The textures of the fabrics used (proud vegan interiors), the feel of the steering wheel and the push of the peddles. All a statement from GWM.

As a downright petrolhead, and a hothatch owner, I found myself coming back time and time again to look at the Ora and even found myself questioning if I’d buy one and the fact I went home and spent an hour on the website kind of answers the question!! Kind of.

I do hope I get a chance soon to experience this hatch in all its glory, and can finally scratch the itch I have for the Ora!

Buy one, I think you should!

After spending some quality time with the SQ5, I find myself having answered some questions I had on the car, but also lost on some enthusiasm I had going into the drive!

In terms of performance SUVs, it’s hard not to jump your thoughts to its competitors, the X3 M40i, or the GLC 43 AMG, and start comparing them….

And doing so in a sense is wrong but needed. I found the SQ5 incredibly refined, on point and perplexing!

It’s incredibly comfy to sit in and drive, of course Audis engines are brilliant, and has every once of technology that you need in a car!

If tasked to drive accords the country I would not object to using the SQ5.

However I find the car bordering a little to well done, a little to refined and lacking a sense of enjoyment behind the wheel.

I like to be challenged; I like to feel the car through the steering, having to push myself a little more into the seat, and with the SQ5, I couldn’t find it..

Overall, the SQ5 is brilliant at what it does, Audi are the top of the game for a reason, and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to buy a performance SUV.

Maybe I’m longing for an RSQ5 - Audi, it’s a little hint 🤪😂

I’m in a bit of a predicament 🤔 I have often expressed that the new Golf 8 wasn’t a stand out hatch.

I feel that it had good looks and came with the right equipment, but have felt that it had something missing, and I haven’t been able to put a finger on it 🤷🏼‍♂️

But going over the Golf R - I’m weirdly attracted to it, it seems to have gotten something that the GTI was missing. I’m still bothered by the interior, knowing you can find it in an Audi and Porsche!

But maybe the R is just the best iteration of the Golf….

Maybe when I get a chance to drive one, I’ll be more steadfast in my opinions towards it!

Do you like the GTI or prefer the R??

I believe that the Aston Martin DBX is a very underrated car. And often gets over looked. It’s a great looking car, great engine and we should see a lot more on the roads 😍🙋🏼‍♂️
