I saw this and my heart sank.

The things Zimbabweans spend their time arguing about and discussing, generating thousands and thousands of comments over, are sometimes completely useless. Whether Makadzi performs at the Cheso Power Music Festival or not will not change your quality of life in any meaningful way.

At the same time, you have Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3, which changes your country’s political future. You have an opposition that is taking money and selling out. You have corruption, unemployment, collapsing public services, and a country where millions struggle to access clean drinking water, decent healthcare, jobs, and opportunities.

Yet we are spending our time debating Makadzi and Macheso.

Macheso’s life is good. He is successful, making money, getting car gifts, and living his life. Makadzi is successful too. Whether she performs or not, both artists will continue with their lives. But what about yours?

Many Zimbabweans do not have jobs, do not have secure futures, cannot afford homes, and are watching their constitutional rights being eroded in real time. These are the issues that should dominate our national conversation.

Entertainment has its place, but a nation that spends more time discussing musicians than discussing governance, the Constitution, and its future is a nation that risks sleepwalking into deeper problems.

Guys, come on. Let us be serious and focus our energy on the things that actually determine the quality of our lives and the future of our children.

Wife murdered along with her young daughters £1.3million home told 'controlling' IT expert husband she wanted a divorce - as friends say he couldn't live without her

This is the moment an executive businessman wanted for the murder of his wife and daughters flees the UK.

Ndodana Tshuma, 45, known as Mark, was captured on CCTV footage at Heathrow airport on Saturday as he fled to Zimbabwe, two days before the bodies of his wife, Zandile Tshuma, 42, and children, Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were found in their home in Bedford.

Tshuma, a £100,000-a-year senior IT manager, was seen dressed in black, with a blue sweater and apple watch, clutching bottles of Coke and water, holding a boarding pass and pushing a suitcase as he went through an E-gate at Heathrow.

Detective Inspector Lee Martin, Bedfordshire Police senior investigating officer, said: 'We have been carrying out numerous lines of enquiry as part of this fast-paced, complex investigation. We know that Mark Tshuma left the country on Saturday and is now believed to be in Zimbabwe.

'We are urgently working to find and apprehend him, and would appeal to him directly to hand himself in.

'Mark, unthinkable harm has been caused to those around you, and this has left your relatives and friends utterly devastated. Criminal investigation knows no borders. We are actively working with national and international agencies to pursue every available line of enquiry to track you down.

'Please do the right thing, come forward and hand yourself in to local authorities.

'Our thoughts are still very much with Zandile, Natalie and Nala, as well as all of those who loved and knew them, at this extremely difficult time.'

Friends of Zandile revealed that she and Tshuma were in the process of divorcing and had recently had the house valued in readiness of it going on the market.

Mark told friends he did not want a divorce as he could not live without Zandile and their children.

One friend, who did not want to be named said: 'They had been having marriage problems for quite a while. Their relationship had broken down and Zandile had had enough.

'She was a great mother and wife and a lot of the problems were down to Mark's controlling behaviour.

'She'd told us that they'd had the house valued and had decided to separate. She wanted to start a new life with the kids.'

Another friend added: 'The marriage was over and Zandile wanted to move on without Mark. She was a very clever woman who worked in IT and was more than capable of creating a new life for herself with the girls.

'It's absolutely heart breaking what's happened and we are all devastated. Zandile was looking forward to the future and we'll all miss her terribly.'

The estranged couple appeared together at a school sports day on the Friday - just a day before he fled to Zimbabwe.

The children attended local private schools. Natalie was a student at the £20,000-a-year Bedford Girls School while Nala is believed to have attended Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School.

Zandile was a high achieving director specialising in financial crime, fraud investigations and anti-money laundering.

The 42-year-old Associate Director previously worked in global banking and consulting for companies including Barclays and KPMG and was vice chair of the Female Fraud Forum.

The mother-of-two attended Midlands State University in Gweru, Zimbabwe, and later worked in Tanzania before the couple moved to Bedford in 2011.

Tshuma studied Management Information Systems at Solusi University in Zimbabwe before completing his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Plymouth.

He later studied for a diploma in Business Systems Analysis and Design at City St George's, University of London.

Tshuma describes himself as a 'results oriented and energetic IT leader'.

Bedfordshire Police described its investigation as 'incredibly complex' and has deployed specialist teams.

Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy said: 'This is a deeply distressing incident in which a mother and her two children are believed to have been murdered.

'Our thoughts are first and foremost with all those affected.'

'This is the early stages of what is an incredibly complex investigation. We are committing all necessary resources to establish exactly what has happened and to find the person responsible.

'As a result of enquiries undertaken so far, we have identified a suspect, who was known to all three victims, and who we believe has since left the country.

The family were said to have originated from Zimbabwe.

A neighbour who had lived next to the family for two years described them as 'decent' and 'quite well to do'.

She told the Daily Mail: 'They had a five series BMW, which I'd see them cleaning. He must have had a good job to afford that and to buy the house which has been renovated in the last few years.'

The detached house, bought two years ago for £1.3 million by Tshuma – who has a degree in Computing Informatics from the University of Plymouth – has a swimming pool, four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy added: 'While there is nothing to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, we will be increasing the police presence in and around the area to support the investigation and provide reassurance to residents.'

'I would also ask people to be mindful of the privacy of the victims and avoid speculating about what might have happened.'

Kenyan man in South Africa returns home with nothing after anti immigrant violence destroyed the life he spent 12 years building. He had built a successful electronic shop business but came back with only a sack.

I think personally I am learning a lot from this South African issue. There is no better place than your own home country. When citizens in the country you are in wakeup one day to kick foreigners out, whatever you achieved in that country will be destroyed in a snap of a finger. This man married a South African and they produced two kids. But he had to leave them behind and fleed the country on his own since he is not a citizen. Priority number one should be establishing your presence in your home country. If all goes wrong you can still return to a comfortable life. ✍️

If you hit the dog hard enough, its owner will eventually come out.

We talked about this on this page months ago. I explained how Israel would use the immigration issue to divide South Africans and undermine the South African government. It did not take long.

The official Israeli Foreign Ministry account is now openly inserting itself into South Africa’s domestic immigration debate. Whether you agree with my analysis or not, the fact is that a foreign government is now publicly engaging in one of South Africa’s most divisive internal issues.

The owner of the project has finally come out.

The plan was always clear: exploit genuine problems that already exist in society, amplify and accentuate them, undermine the South African government, and find pliable South Africans willing to assist in that project.

When the inevitable violence occurs, turn around and accuse South Africa of xenophobia. Then question its moral standing in relation to its case against Israel at the International Court of Justice. Keep repeating the same question: How can a country that treats fellow Africans like this take Israel to the International Court of Justice?

It becomes much easier to make that argument because many African states will be reluctant to rally behind South Africa due to xenophobic attacks. That is why South Africa must confront xenophobia decisively; not only because it is morally wrong, but because it also weakens the country’s standing and influence across the African continent.

🚨 "ZIMBABWEAN PROMOTER TALLYN NDUDZO, WHO PREVIOUSLY BROUGHT SKOMOTA, LIMPOPO BOY AND MAKHADZI TO THE UK, DECLARES SHE WILL NO LONGER BOOK SOUTH AFRICAN ARTISTS AND BLASTS MAKHADZI OVER THE XENOPHOBIA CRISIS!" 🇿🇼🇿🇦🔥

A Zimbabwean music promoter, Tallyn Ndudzo, known for promoting and organizing international appearances for South African entertainers including Makhadzi, Skomota, and Limpopo Boy in the United Kingdom, has sparked major controversy after announcing that she will no longer book South African artists.

In a passionate statement, Tallyn argued that Zimbabwean promoters and fans have played a significant role in helping many South African artists build international audiences. She expressed disappointment over what she sees as silence from some artists amid growing tensions and xenophobic incidents affecting foreign nationals in South Africa.

Tallyn specifically criticized Makhadzi's recent comments, arguing that Zimbabwean supporters, promoters, and collaborators have contributed significantly to the singer's popularity and success beyond South Africa's borders. She also revealed that she has been assisting some Zimbabweans seeking repatriation during the current tensions.

The comments have triggered a heated debate on social media, with some users supporting Tallyn's decision and others defending South African artists, arguing that musicians should not be blamed for broader social and political issues.

The growing dispute has once again raised questions about the relationship between the South African and Zimbabwean entertainment industries, which have enjoyed decades of close collaboration and mutual support.

Do you agree with Tallyn Ndudzo's decision to stop booking South African artists, or should music remain above politics and xenophobia? 🇿🇼🇿🇦👇🔥
