Bit of a hatchy digitising day today…

Hyundai i20N , Toyota GR Yaris and 86 bonnet in for some scanning to enable some design work 👍

Always fun to see the engineering differences between so many different machines 🤟

A little bit of lip…

A kicker boot lip inspired by Mazdaspeed for the NC1 MX5 Miata soft top. Not too crazy size wise but just a nice sporty addition I think.

I like the three piece design so it can be run as a a boot lid piece only for a bit of a racier look, but also like the corner pieces which I think finish it cleanly.

Some minor tweaks and I’ll be ready to push some plastic for a test print. 👍

First quick and dirty prototype out of the printer for a fitment check of the Hisashi Nakade dash cluster surround.

It’s looking 👌 with one or 2 minor tweaks, adjustments and additions that I’d like to do.

Then on to material/ production checks

It’s nice to see it coming together after being on the screen for so long👍

Another custom Toyota 86 project completed for Cody Hill and his clean 86 drift build.

Toyota 86 customised magnetic console lid,
with no extra holes required.

Pretty happy with the way this came out 🤟

Are you missing your console lid?

A few months ago I completed some customised stone guards for this fastidiously
maintained local Porsche Cayman GT4 981.

The brief, PPF just isn’t cutting it so give me some oem flavoured stone guards.

What I came up with was these, my design and they’re not hiding what they are but I tried to make them follow the lines of the car.

I’m really happy with the way these turned out after using a premium glass filled filament.

I look forward to making a few more of these style parts for my Mazda NC mx5 and others

If anyone’s interested in these Porsche parts they’re listed on my webpage -

Welcome to the stable, the black & red LE NC.

I enjoy the NC so much and had to get another one, that makes 5.0L.

It needs a little bit of love but I’m looking forward to making it my own and into a test/promo car.

Hisashi Nakade’s RHD dash model is progressing nicely and edging closer to print.

I’m working carefully to make small adjustments to the fitment to ensure mating surfaces and bolt up points all align well with the dash mounting points and am happy with the way it’s progressing, a few more tweaks then I’ll finalise the gauge mounts.

Once done here on the RHD - I’ll pivot to the LHD 🤟

Hisashi is also getting enthusiastic about some other projects including the NB and I look forward to sharing those in the future.

A proving day..

What a stunning day out at Mallala today with my boys supporting Cody at the Round 3 of the Drifting SA State series Drift Championship.

I’ve been making a number of parts for Cody’s car and today was another opportunity to put them through their paces 🤟

I look forward to offering them to the 86/ BRZ community very shortly.
