🚦 STEP UP TRACKSIDE – Become an Autotest Timekeeper! ⏱️

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to keep a motorsport event running smoothly? Now’s your chance to find out!

Join us on Saturday, 4th July at Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex for our Step Up Trackside – Autotest Timekeeper Training.

🕤 Training starts at 9:30am and will run alongside a live Autotest event, giving you the opportunity to learn in a real-world environment.

You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced timekeepers and learn:
✅ How to set up the timing equipment
✅ How to accurately record competitors’ times
✅ The role of a timekeeper during an event
✅ Tips and tricks from experienced officials

This isn’t a classroom session—it’s practical, hands-on training where you’ll be part of a real motorsport event from the moment you arrive.

No previous experience is required. Whether you’re looking to become an official, help out at club events, or simply see what happens behind the scenes, we’d love to have you along.

The MG Car Club Newcastle Auto Test Series is back, and Round 5 is shaping up to be another action-packed day of motorsport!

💥 Think you’ve got what it takes? Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or giving motorsport a crack for the first time, we’d love to see you on the start line!

✅ Entries are NOW OPEN via MSA Event Entry!

👀 Not competing? No worries!
Spectators are FREE, so bring the family, grab a spot trackside and enjoy a fantastic day of close, affordable grassroots motorsport.

🙋 We also need volunteers!
Our events simply can’t run without an amazing team of officials. If you can spare a few hours to help as a:

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to make a motorsport event happen?
Whether you're a competitor, a member of MG Car Club Newcastle or any other motorsport club, a motorsport fan, or someone who's never been involved but has always wanted to be, Step Up Trackside is for you!
We're looking for people interested in becoming part of the team that keeps events running safely and smoothly at Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex. There are plenty of roles available, and no prior experience is necessary. We'll help you learn the ropes and show you what it's all about.
📅 When: Saturday, 27th June 2026
📍 Where: MG Car Club Newcastle Club Rooms, Cobby Street, Shortland
⏰ Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
🍴 Lunch provided
