We told Tim to take it easy, learn the Commodore, and not get too carried away before the Adelaide Rally…👀
So as fate would have it, he received a late call-up to do Car Zero A duties at the Adelaide Hills Rally for the Australian Rally Championship and apparently decided the best way to “test” the car for Axle Co was to give it the full stress-test package.
Yep John’s anxiety hit a new level 😝
The original plan was to take one of the Rally School WRX STIs, but plans changed. The Commodore went from tarmac trim back into gravel specification, and suddenly it was being asked some very serious questions.
Gravel roads, rally stages, wet weather, early mornings, and a few moments where the car probably wondered why it was no longer living a quiet tarmac life.
Safe to say, this was not a gentle shakedown. It was a proper big test.
Massive thanks to the event organisers and everyone involved for a fantastic Adelaide Hills Rally, and to our awesome team for putting in the hard yards.
We hope Tim really shook the hills!
Now Tim, the testing is complete…..
We can officially confirm the Commodore has been thoroughly evaluated… possibly more than it was expecting.
Put it back together!
we’ve got Adelaide Rally prep to do!
