Had an EV accident in Perth? Save this post. đź”–
Most EV owners do the same thing after an accident call their insurer, get assigned a repairer, and assume it'll be fine.
It's not always fine.
EVs are built differently. They have high voltage battery systems, specific structural requirements, and manufacturer repair standards that most panel shops aren't trained or equipped to meet.
A missed fault. A wrong part. An improper fix.
Any one of those can cost you $10,000+ down the track. And by then, your warranty could already be gone.
Here's what most people don't know: In WA, you may be able to choose your own repairer depending on your insurance policy. You don’t always have to use the insurer’s preferred repairer.
