Customers: Please be advised that in the coming weeks tyre disposal charges will be implemented. You will have the option to take them with you, or your will be charged a tyre disposal fee.

Landfill Fees and Charges Implementation

Gwydir Shire Council would like to advise residents, businesses, and visitors that in coming weeks fees for the disposal of tyres and commercial waste will be implemented at landfills across Gwydir Shire.

These fees have been carefully considered to ensure Gwydir Shire Council can continue delivering essential services while meeting increasing operational and maintenance costs. Revenue generated through these charges helps support the upkeep of important community assets across the Gwydir Shire.

We understand that any change in costs can be challenging, and Gwydir Shire Council remains committed to ensuring that fees are fair, transparent, and provide value for the services delivered.
