Express service: oil and filter. Proper service: a real safety check.

A budget or express service will usually cover the basics, but a proper log book service goes much further. At GMG, we inspect brakes, suspension, tyres, belts, hoses, fluids and perform diagnostic checks where required. Many drivers assume they need to return to the dealer for servicing, but that's not always the most cost-effective option. In many cases, GMG can provide the same log book service at a lower price while maintaining your warranty. It’s with a heavy heart today we mourn the loss of another great man, John Nicholls.

An original G&M Autos customer, Johnny was Geoff’s best mate since high school, teenage lads that enjoyed many aspects of life together.

A keen Collingwood supporter, there were many nights spent at the workshop betting on football between Collingwood & Hawthorn, having a yarn, telling stories & enjoying a beer or two.

Our thoughts go out to Lesley, Craig and their families during this difficult time.

Five things your dealer won’t tell you about who can service your new car.

1️⃣ You do NOT have to return to the dealership for servicing.
2️⃣ Missing a dealer service doesn’t automatically void your warranty; what matters is following the manufacturer’s service requirements.
3️⃣ Qualified independent mechanics can legally stamp your log book.
4️⃣ Genuine quality parts matter more than the dealership logo on the invoice.
5️⃣ If a warranty claim is refused after independent servicing, you still have rights under Australian Consumer Law.
