HIGHLY SENSITIVE
With love only, for you my dear dear friend and fellow artist.
Near two weeks ago we lost our beautiful, enigmatic and inspirational friend and band mate Imogen Labbett. I was told that she’d taken her life. Imogen with her heart of absolute passion, warmth and care is forever with us in our hearts, in music and in memories.
Imi encapsulated life, I have never known anyone to be so driven, intelligent and caring. Imi saw the world far beyond her years and seemed to be unstoppable. Fiercely independent and inspiring as a young woman. I truely believe there is nothing she couldn’t achieve with her talent, intelligence and devotion to humility.
We laughed and cried and danced and sang. Fearless and bold, the strength of Imogen’s expression and ability to listen to people and connect will never be forgotten.
It breaks my heart that we will never see her again to laugh, sing and dance and ramble between moronic conversations or converse about the state of the world, theories of existence, love, loss, music and art.
They travelled the world and soaked up every joy and culture they could. They were a passionate photographer, a phenomenally talented musician, an activist, an Elvis impersonator, a creative thinker, a humble genius (in my opinion), a true friend and a magically charismatic individual who had a big impression on all who shared time with them.
Remembering Imogen is hard but forgetting is harder. Remember the joy and the passion Imi shared.
Imi, you’ll always be there. With us all, your spirit lives on. Never forgotten, always in our hearts.
Our deepest condolences to the Labbett family, friends and contemporaries.
There will be a celebration of Imogen’s life and passion for music and culture in due time for those who knew her from music, photography, the multitudes of passions they shared and as friends.
