Major puzzle piece done.
Va sti steering rack mounting in the capri.
custom cross member and engine mounts at final install stage
Modified/shortened rack ends, relocated swaybar end links.
Entire clamping and mounting system made to suit the sti rack.
Male/female 4140 intermediate steering shaft machined to suit the original knuckle and sti lower, ready for alignment and welding.
Next step:mounting the sti power steering pump on the ford motor!
Tight clearances. Onto the next puzzle piece!

We've been a little preoccupied relocating workshops and are nearly setup.
Thankyou to everybody who offered some assistance to get it all across! It is very much appreciated!

We have now started stocking the front office with fabrication components and hoses/fittings. We will keep on adding in due time.

For the exhaust diy goers
Lost wax cast ej20/25 bellmouth.
Save the hassle of making 2 piece rube style with a fl**ge and save the hours!

All subaru downpipes fabricated here will now run one of these as a standard item.

We will also stock them or have available to order if required.

Let's call this part 1.

we've been tending to getting this car back to health for the last long few months.

the mighty red rocket of a subaru came in with a cracked cylinder head at the rocker cover after failure on the track. No big deal remove and weld up. fix the issue.

shortly after the engine is out and here we are.
bent valve, cracked valve guides, damaged piston, corroded bores with pitting. this is the start of it all.
when pulling the heads off we discovered that the exhaust ports were over ported and had blown through into the head stud provision on both heads, slowly erroding away the studs.

further investigation with splitting the block found failure thrust area on bearings and more bore damage.

Was only a matter of time before total disaster more than what it was already.

What a man wants, he gets!

A bit (or a lot) of patience and persistence is all you need to make it happen.

I somehow managed to fit a dual 3.5" exhaust setup up and over the diff into a 200 series.

No space left under there to breathe!
We have some new downpipes going in in a couple weeks before it hits the dyno!
