🚗 Phantom alarm going off at 3am? Your Chrysler might just be crying out for help.

Another 300C rolled into the workshop this week with the exact same story as the last one, random alarm activations driving the owner mad. The culprit? The internal siren backup battery has carked it. It's a known weak spot on these things, and we're seeing more and more of them here in Perth.

LeBron James very nearly signed with Romano's Automotive. Terms were agreed, the shirt was stitched, the #23 locker was cleared out next to the parts washer.

Then the deal fell over at the eleventh hour. Sticking point: he demanded Bronny come on as a first-year apprentice. We offered. Bronny would've been on brake pads and oil changes by Christmas.

Turns out four rings doesn't get you out of sweeping the workshop floor on a Friday arvo. 🧹

🎯 Toyota Prius rolled in with a diagnosis that didn't quite add up.

Customer was told the rack ends needed replacing… but here's the twist 🕵️ The freeplay wasn't in the rack ends at all, it was internal to the steering rack itself.

Had we blindly swapped the rack ends, he'd have been back a week later scratching his head (and out of pocket). Proper diagnosis = the right fix, first time. ✔️

🔧 Subaru WRX rolled in with clutch dramas… and oh boy, did it have a story to tell.

Pulled the gearbox out and found the culprit: a release bearing completely cooked, and it had chewed right into the shaft it slides on. The kicker? That shaft isn't sold separately — it's part of the gearbox 😬

Moral of the story: clutch noises aren't just "a quirk", they're your WRX waving a white flag. Catch it early, save the gearbox. Ignore it, and you're shopping for a new one.

Spot the difference: Audi S5 valve body vs a city map of Perth 🗺️😅

Every one of those tiny channels has a job. When the solenoids and seals start giving up, your gearbox starts speaking in tongues — clunks, harsh shifts, the works.

Today's refresh got fresh solenoids, new accumulators, and new mechatronic seals. Smooth shifts restored. Just a happy S5.

Another shop sent this GM transmission control module our way for a full clone. Flex hooked up, full backup read, and now writing section 5 of 20. Smooth as.

TCM cloning isn't your average job, it takes the right tools, the right software, and someone who's done it more than once 😉
