AQUILA 50 SAIL: A DELIVERY THAT FELT LIKE A CHARTER ⛵

Strong winds, singalongs and a few unexpected visitors, our Aquila 50 Sail delivery from Runaway Bay to Pittwater had it all.

With northerly following winds reaching 35 knots, she settled into 9–11 knots under sail. Even with two reefs in the mainsail, we were still making 10 knots. On the first leg to Coffs Harbour, the engines didn’t get a look in.

Our overnight stop brought guitar singalongs under the stars before an early departure to clear the course for the Coffs triathlon swimmers!

Then came glassy seas, coastal fog and plenty of whales and dolphins along the way.

Through it all, our motley crew enjoyed delicious meals, panoramic saloon views and room to spread out. With six double cabins, each with a private entrance and ensuite, plus a spacious galley and full-size fridge, she made life aboard feel rather comfortable.

A memorable passage—and a proper taste of the possibilities for family cruising, longer adventures or charter ownership.
