Three years. A four-day work week. Would we do it again?

Back in 2023, we made the decision to move Angus Car Service to a four-day work week — still working a full 38 hours, just across four longer days.

Three years on, we thought it was time to share what we’ve learned… the good, the bad and even the slightly inconvenient! 😆

READY FOR WHAT’S NEXT… WHILE STILL LOOKING AFTER WHAT’S ON THE ROAD TODAY!

The automotive world is changing, and we’re making sure Angus Car Service changes with it.

We’re excited to share that Aaron and Fin have recently completed their Battery Electric Vehicle Inspection and Servicing Skill Set at TAFE! 🎓⚡️

We can already service Hybrid vehicles, and we’re continuing to build our knowledge, skills and equipment so that we can service and repair Battery Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the near future.

But don’t worry… we’re not turning our backs on the good old internal combustion engine just yet!

There are still plenty of petrol and diesel vehicles on Penrith roads, and we’re just as committed to keeping those vehicles safe, reliable and running at their best. 🔧

The reality is that the automotive industry is evolving. Hybrid and electric vehicles are becoming a bigger part of the market, and we believe it’s important for our team to keep learning and investing in the skills needed to look after our customers' vehicles — whatever is under the bonnet… or floor! 😉

So whether you drive a petrol, diesel, hybrid or, soon, an EV — we’re working towards being ready to look after you and your car for many years to come.

The technology may be changing, but our commitment to great service isn’t.

Fin recently replaced the engine in this van. The team were able to go along for the test drive 🤣

Shout out to Vic’s Maxi Transport located in Penrith, they do a great job transporting between 9 & 24 people, they are based in Penrith!

Sunday Question - Have you ever walked up to a car that looks like yours and tried to open it?

I have and I was really embarrassed when I looked more closely inside to see that it wasn't my car 🫣 Same make, model and colour - note to self if the cars not opening - check the number plate 😂
