In stock: A pair of Rock Racing mesh wheels, released by Hero Co. Ltd. back in the early '80s in Japan - and this pair is from 1982. This pair are in sizing of 15x7.5 -4 in 4x114.3 PCD, and are a 3-piece wheel. Good overall condition for the age but are showing their age a little, and have some nice detailing with the black centres and painted silver top edge. Good sizing and hard to find. AUD$595

(Last set) In stock: If you're a true wheel geek, then you'd know of the Aoshima 'The Wheel' model kits. Extremely detailed 1:6 scale models of 8 different oldschool Japanese wheels - separate faces, barrels, wheel face bolts, and the instructions even detail the colours they came in. Plus great artwork!

No. 1 - River Side Co. Ltd. 'R104'
No. 2 - Focus Racing 'Spoke'
No. 3 - Hayashi Racing 'Bomber'
No. 4 - SSR 'Formula Mesh'
No. 5 - Work 'Equip Excel'
No. 6 - Yokohama Wheel 'Advan A3A'
No. 7 - Southern Ways 'Glids II'
No. 8 - Hoshino Racing Impul 'Pro-Mesh Group C'

These are a relatively unusual large scale, and even come with a display stand to build and display. Faces are molded in colour, barrels and stands are chrome plated.

Pretty much impossible to find a full set of these now, and I've had to make this set by buying singles (yet again). Made in the late '80s, new in the box of course! But some boxes do have age marks and wear.

AUD$555 for the set of 8 kits - and only one complete set available.

Limited single kits available of #7 GLiDs II - AUD$75 ea.

Found in Japan: Have a JDM Mini and want it to be more JDM? Here's a set of Speed Star Racing Formula Mesh in 12x5 +20, and 4x101.65. They're in good survivor condition with a few marks here and there, and consider the tyres a bonus. They're easy fitment for a Rover Mini and slightly more aggressive than stock for a Austin Mini (or maybe your Wolseley Hornet). Currently about AUD$460 landed via container to Melbourne but there's a few bids already, so they will end up more expensive. Want them? Message me.

Nostalgia: A fictional bike, last seen in Neo Tokyo.

"It is a complete bike developed by Osaka's Saitaniya Factory with the aim of selling it commercially. However, due to various circumstances, the bike was never officially released, and this is one of several prototypes made of Kaneda's bike from Akira".

It's based on a Honda Fusion, too.

Coming in soon: A set of Speed Star Racing Professor SP1-R wheels. This set is in sizing of 16x7 +39 4x100, and they're the Lo Disc face which gives a deeper dish. They're in good overall condition, the faces have been repainted black, and one lip has a little rash and the rest could benefit from a buff. Easy fitment to most 4x100 cars and one of the most popular small(ish) SSR wheels. A new set of these would be ¥355,000/AUD$3175, so these are a bargain at AUD$1365.

In stock: A set of very rare AutoQualita 'Speciale' directional aero wheels, in sizing of 15x6.5 +25 4x114.3 PCD. Similar to the Colin Project Manaray Mobilia wheels, but with a unique machined finish - or the Super Volks with an extra spoke. Made in Japan in 1986. Good overall condition - the white highlights are in good shape with a few chips here and there, but ideally the machined parts need a polish. I've given the bottom left a quick go-over on the machined sections and it's come up quite well - and the others will too. No rash, no bends, and the tyres are oldschool Pirelli P7 with decent tread, in 215/50R15...but probably good for bricks. Two wheels face left, two face right (as they should for proper aero wheels). These would be awesome on something boxy and '80s. AUD$720

Found in Japan: I get asked for these pretty much once a week but haven't seen any for at least two years - so here you go (and prepare the l**e). They're a set of ultra-rare Wado 'Sakura Kiwami' wheels, by R-Pride Co. Ltd. These are a 3-piece forged wheel, made by TWS (Taneisya, formerly Southern Ways) for R-Pride, who made a range of sakura-inspired wheels, all the way from 15" up to 22". Discontinued years ago (and over AUD$7k just to buy in Japan when new!), this set's in good overall condition (apart from the colour mismatch and are in sizing of 22x something, with unknown offsets - an d are running a 245/20ZR22 so are probably an 8.5 I'd think. .Very cheap for a set at just on AUD$540 to get to Melbourne via container at the start price - but will go higher even with the mystery specs. Want them? Message me.

Nostalgia: It's hard to Beat a chibi RX-7.

Created as one of the "Mini D" series - a parody of Initial D - it's a fully customized machine based on a Honda Beat, combined with actual FC3S Mazda RX-7 parts. The main aero parts are made from Styrofoam which is carved and molded and then coated with ReBlock, which is a waterproof coating for vehicles - comparable in strength to fibreglass.

Bonus points if you recongised the RX-8 behind it.

Coming in soon: A set of Bridgestone Dish Art wheels. Yes, Bridgestone had a range of wheels (and still do), and these ones are from the early '80s. This particular set are in sizing of 13x5.5 +37 in 4x114.3 - so good for small cars and keis. They're an amazing 4-spoke design with a vented face in the black sections, and complete with the original unobtanium centre caps, and in good overall condition. AUD$920

In stock: You're designated driver amongst your friends, so you might as well advertise. Here's a couple of genuine vintage Japanese Taxi lights to stick in your window, dashboard, or on your parcel shelf - so you can tell them there's no free rides (or you're Premium Rate, Empty (available), or Out of Service). About 25x8x6cm in size, some with with adjustable-angle feet, and some show their age a little more - so choose wisely. They are 12V powered - separate wires for the different front light sections, one for earth, plus a couple of the back section (and you will need to hardwire it to a plug or switch, or to the car). One even includes the additional light-up and pop-up round front window light - AUD$385 for that one. But the rest of the regular ones are AUD$265 each
