The scene of the crime… I was back at The Bend for work today… While the track was being set up I decided to go have a look at where I went off when that tyre popped… It’s safe to say I did the right thing by straightening the wheel… If had lock on it by the time I made the dirt the outcome could’ve been very different considering the rate of knots I was going… 😅

Well that was one tough weekend.. Thankfully we’ve got a great crew! We worked our way trough niggling issues in the lead up to race one.. If you watched the previous video you would know I popped a tyre around 190kph on the fastest corner of the track. After a tour of the gravel trap we had no front spoiler / splitter for the remaining two races. Unfortunately the car lost a great deal of pace with a lack of aero. So it became a meeting of survival over pace. It was my first meeting without dad’s involvement and the lead up for me was a struggle. But we still managed to get a result and I’m sure that would’ve made him proud. 🥹 Huge Thanks to Corey from Tailored Options Finance, and to Autosport/Torque Brake fluids for their support this weekend. Cameron Jones from Twin Bridges Distillery, Chris Stanbury and Marty Lofthouse you guys are amazing, thank you for all of your help on the tools. Thank you to all who came for a visit/check in on us. Strat, Tam, Col, Reg, Nick, Chris, Jaxon, Noah, Sam 👍 Just awesome. Thank you to my awesome wife and kids and mum for putting up with me and my hobbies… 3rd 🥉 for the round is better than I expected considering the challenges throw at us. If I’ve missed anyone I’m sorry, I’m a little spent. Back coaching at the track tomorrow. 😂 Time to get some sleep 💤

Little bit of a challenging day today, the cars not perfect, but we think it’s good enough to run tomorrow. We managed to put a few Ks on the car. Here’s a little video of the new motor getting bedded in..

Apart from working on the racecar, we’ve bee chipping away at a number of other jobs. One car has come to us with a bit of a list.. but the deeper we’ve dug more issues have been found.. Like this gem.. how hard is it to align the dots? 😂 Should go a little better once we’re done…
