🔬 At Pilbara Plating, we’re always looking ahead! We’re currently diving into zinc and tin plating research to expand our surface repair options and provide even more corrosion-resistant solutions for our clients.

🛠️ Zinc plating is known for its excellent rust protection and is widely used in construction, automotive, and mining.

⚙️ Tin plating offers a smooth, solderable finish ideal for electrical components and wear surfaces.

By exploring these new methods, we aim to deliver greater versatility and performance across a range of industries.

New metals, same commitment to quality. Pilbara Plating is plating the way forward! 💡🔩

Chrome might bring the shine ✨, but Nickel-Cobalt is built to last 💪. When it comes to wear resistance, Nickel-Cobalt outperforms traditional chrome coatings—making it the go-to choice for high-load, high-friction parts.

🔹 Chrome – Looks great and holds up well, but can wear down over time under heavy use.
🔹 Nickel-Cobalt – Tough as nails, with superior hardness and durability. Ideal for parts that take a beating and keep on going.

If your equipment works hard, give it a coating that works even harder. 🛠

🔧 Extend the Life of Your Valve flanges faces with Electroplating! 🔧

Valve flanges in industrial and mining operations take a beating—exposed to corrosion, wear, and extreme conditions that can lead to leaks, failures, and costly downtime. That’s where electroplating comes in!

💡 Why Electroplate Your Valve Flanges?
✅ Corrosion Protection – Shields against harsh environments, extending lifespan.
✅ Wear Resistance – Reduces friction and surface damage.
✅ Cost-Effective – Restore instead of replacing expensive components.
✅ Precise Application – Selective brush electroplating targets worn areas without the need for full disassembly.

Whether you’re in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry, keeping your valve flanges in top condition is crucial for leak-free, reliable performance.

⚡ How Does Selective Brush Electroplating Bond to Metal? ⚡

Ever wondered how Selective Brush Electroplating creates a strong, lasting bond to worn or damaged metal surfaces? It’s not just a coating—it’s a molecular-level fusion that restores strength and durability!

🔹 Surface Prep – The damaged area is cleaned and activated to ensure maximum adhesion.
🔹 Electrochemical Reaction – A specially formulated plating solution is applied using a brush anode, allowing metal ions to bond directly to the surface.
🔹 Precision Layering – The coating builds up only where needed, restoring the part to its original dimensions without unnecessary material removal.
🔹 Strong & Durable Finish – The plated layer becomes an integral part of the base metal, improving wear resistance and corrosion protection.

Unlike traditional plating methods, brush electroplating is fast, precise, and requires minimal disassembly, making it the perfect solution for on-site repairs!

Got a worn-out hydraulic rod or machine part? Let’s restore it before downtime costs you more!

🏌️‍♂️⛳ 24-Hour Golf Fundraiser Success! ⛳🏌️‍♂️

Huge congratulations to Royce Castano for completing an incredible 720 holes (40 rounds) of golf—all well within the 24-hour limit! His dedication and endurance have helped raise crucial funds for Royal Flying Doctor Service.

We were fortunate enough to share our luck and the community support we have had the last couple of months since we have opened with Royce and his chosen charity. Having a chat with Royce post challenge we could see how much commitment he had, and were really proud of his effort not only to his chosen charity, but the community he has grown up in. RFDS complete more than 3000 flights per year, meaning 3000 more lives are saved in our rural regions than if we didn't have their services. These flights service not only regional towns but stations, outpost and remote towns that are either too far from emergency services or do not have roads connecting to their location.

A massive thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and cheered him on. Your generosity makes a real impact! If you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time—every contribution counts! Karratha Indoor Golf

🔧 Rechroming vs. Selective Brush Electroplating – Which is Best for You? 🔧

When hydraulic rods wear down, you have two main options: traditional rechroming or selective brush electroplating. But which one is the better choice? Let’s break it down:

🔄 Rechroming:

✔ Full resurfacing of the rod
✔ Good for severe damage or deep wear
❌ Requires full disassembly and transport
❌ Longer turnaround time (8 weeks at some times)
❌ Higher cost due to labor and downtime

⚡ Selective Brush Electroplating:

✔ Repairs only the damaged areas – no unnecessary material removal
✔ Performed on-site (depending on size, max 5 Meters long) or plated in pur workshop located in Karratha, with minimal disassembly
✔ Fast turnaround – get back up and running quickly
✔ Cost-effective solution for minor to moderate wear
✔ Perfect for industries that can’t afford long downtime

The Verdict? If your rods need a full overhaul, rechroming may be the way to go. But if you’re after a quick, precise, and budget-friendly repair, selective brush electroplating is the smarter choice!
