This year’s Ronald McDonald House Charity Round was about so much more than basketball.
We are incredibly proud to sponsor Brad Rasmussen, better known around the Mackay basketball community as “The Milkman”, as he celebrated an incredible 20 years of dedication, passion and service to Mackay Basketball.
For the past 10 years, we’ve had the privilege of sponsoring Brad and watching firsthand the impact he has had on players, families, volunteers and the wider basketball community. His commitment to the game, both on and off the court, is something truly special and deserving of recognition.
A huge congratulations also goes to the entire Meteors and Meteorettes teams, the sponsors, coaches, staff, volunteers and supporters who came together to make this round such a success.
Together, the jersey auctions raised an incredible $26,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities North Queensland, helping support regional families during some of their toughest times. ❤️
It’s community events like this that remind us what local sport is all about, bringing people together, celebrating those who give so much back, and making a real difference in the lives of others.
