Hi guys,
Sophie is what parents like to call a ‘problematic child’, she has torn the meniscus in her knee and has a broken bone fragment in there also, which requires knee surgery. This surgery has been booked for Tuesday July 7th and will come with a recovery time of 6 weeks non weight-bearing. For the first 2-3 weeks she will be unable to bend her knee and then after that hopefully she’ll be able to get back in the car for some auto lessons, all manual lessons/tests will be moved across to David because she won’t be able to do the clutch with the surgery.

Any tests that Sophie had in this time will be moved across to David to do, but this unfortunately means that some test will not be able to have a lesson the hour before the test like we can usually offer, which we are sorry for! This will be discussed with everyone who has tests booked for the middle of July.

For any outstanding contract work, Sophie will do her best to get these finished before heading for surgery, otherwise they’ll be completed once she’s back or will potentially be swapped across to David if necessary.

Sophie wants to apologise again for any inconvenience this may cause, but is business as usual until surgery in early July.

Soph and her fam (like so many) have had the flu this week, so replies have been pretty slow, so sorry for any inconvenience.

Wednesday May 13th, we are on the agenda!

Our fight to keep our local VicRoads office isn’t finished, this parliament sitting will determine the future of our branch. The agreed 5 years from our local council and the Labor government is a bs bandaid to make us think we’ve got what we wanted. But 5 years isn’t enough! We want the security that it’s here to stay.

We have organised a coach to head down to Melbourne to be there in person and show support for our cause, there are 57 seats available. Cost will be $25 p/p based on being able to fill the bus, depending on numbers this price could slightly increase.

Please rsvp to on Facebook by Monday 11th May, unfortunately we cannot hold seats for ‘maybes’

🚨 If you have a test coming up, or you’re thinking about booking a test, this post is for you! 🚨

🚨 If you have NOT had your logbook signed off PRIOR to test day, and your book is illegible, the hours don’t add up or your maths is wrong, or you simply don’t have enough hours, you WILL NOT sit the test, and will need to rebook.

🚨 If you have NOT successfully completed the hazards perception test PRIOR to test day, you WILL NOT sit the test and will need to rebook.
The hazards test can only be done twice in a 24 hour period, if you don’t pass the first time.

🚨 If the above have not been completed, but you’ve hired our services and booked our time, you will pay the test fees whether you sit this test or not! We remind all of our students who have lessons prior to test day that these things needs to be done, so there’s no excuse for coming on test day not having them done!

Just a reminder now that school is back, the times school zones are also back!

There’s lots of kids and lots of traffic this morning, so please remember the speed limit is MAX 40kms between 8am and 9:30am and then again this afternoon between 2:30pm and 4pm!

Also, just a friendly reminder to all our learners and p platers, you MUST carry your physical licence at ALL TIMES! The digital licence is not sufficient on learners, p plates or if you carry a heavy vehicle licence.

Sophie is officially cancer free! She requires no more treatment or surgery for her thyroid! And will hopefully be back on the transplant list for a kidney in the next few weeks!

Thank you for your understanding and patience in the last week or so with Sophie not making any bookings until she’d had her appointment today, so she didn’t have to cancel anyone if it was a different result from today’s appointment!

If you’ve been waiting for an appointment with Sophie, she’ll be in contact with you in the next few days to get you sorted!

Our current project is the proposed closure of the Talbot, Bealiba and Dunolly transfer stations!

We have organised a public meeting to be held next Friday night from 6pm at the Maryborough Tennis Club Clubrooms.

We will also be organising a new parliament approved petition to make sure we keep these vital services! Our bushes will end up as the new rubbish disposal place of choice, for people who do the right thing from Bealiba, they will have a 100km round trip to go to the Carisbrook transfer Station! How ridiculous!

Come down Friday night, make your thoughts known and let’s woe as a community to show the CGSC that once again we will not be stopped!

We are here with a lovely big bin waiting for our local community to step up and help our emergency services gain access to vital equipment, rather than the subpar standard that they current have to deal with!

If our government won’t support the small rural emergency services but expect them to attend and help, it’s upto us, as a community to help!

Come down to Coronation Park (old hockey fields) donate some $$, buy a coffee, buy some lunch! All proceeds are going straight back into our local community!

Come and listen to a FREE concert by local artists!
