Official VMP Grand Opening was a hit!

Corey's VY performed very well, we set a goal of running an 8sec pass with the little LS1 and with 2 days of racing ahead of us and amazing facilities newly available to us we knew it was achievable.

We unloaded the car Saturday morning for a private test session and went 8.93 @ 155mph on the first full pass. So where did that leave us for the rest of the weekend? Well a dead boost solenoid caused us grief for the rest of Saturday, fixed it overnight and went out in the heat on Sunday and yet again 8.87 @ 154 cementing the car into the 8s.

Safe to say the LS1 did what it needed to do, bring on KOTS and then this package is being removed to make way for whats next, affectionately being known around the shop as "the good engine"!

Well done Corey James always piloting this banger perfectly. Our team did very well, and im proud to see the guys all together, enjoying a weekend of racing, food, drinks and laughs!

The carby accelerated Corey's weekender party car to an impressive 333rwkw with the APD Carb and Aeroflow intake compared to 316rwkw with the LS1 Intake and Fuel Injection

Very impressive numbers for this stock LS1 with a VCM710 camshaft through a manual.
