Believe it or not we used to manufacture these little Mini Mobile Campers some 40 years ago. We keep this early one as a reminder how tent campers have evolved. Not as simple as this one anymore!

💡 A Swift Tip! 💡

Brake Controllers

When you’re driving along the blacktop or on unsealed roads, it’s important to understand how to navigate and control your vehicle effectively when towing.

A good inertia sensing (Proportional) brake controller makes towing a breeze. In this setting, towing is experienced with precision and ease. You brake soft and slow, so does the brake controller.

Proportional Mode will make it feel like the caravan is just an extension of your vehicle. On highway conditions, you can almost set-and-forget, as proportional mode will ensure the braking force will be applied to the trailer’s brake, in proportion to your vehicle’s brakes.

It is important to set up your brake controller correctly before heading away on your trip.

Does your caravan or camper trailer need a service?

Beside how often i.e. mileage or time, there are other things that MUST be taken into account when having your caravan serviced.

At Swift Caravan Services, our service procedure is broken down as follows;
1. Routine servicing for example greasing (chassis and suspension) and disassembling, cleaning & reassembling (wheel bearings) etc is straight forward
2. Maintenance for example inspection (chassis), adjustment (brakes) and testing (lights) can be more complex.

We have HUGE ‘caravan hoists’ that we place your caravan on and then raise it up in the air allowing us to NOT ONLY service your brakes, but while we are there take a good look over everything underneath.

We have an established check list that insures each and every time we do a service that maintenance items are brought to the customers’ attention for either immediate repair or monitoring.
