It’s been almost 2 months since we wrapped up the trip of a lifetime, but we just realised we haven’t shared these with you yet! 📸

Check out our trusty Bash Car, SMOOTH 2, rolling across the finish line in Exmouth, WA! 🏁🚗💨

What an absolute epic drive it was. 5,328 km from Halls Gap all the way to the Ningaloo coast. It was a journey packed with mishaps (looking at you, Smooth 1! 🛠️), wild outback adventures, amazing camaraderie, connection, and endless laughs.

Best of all, we got to see firsthand the incredible, life-changing work that Variety - the Children's Charity Victoria does for kids in remote communities. 🎒❤️

Huge shout-out to everyone who supported us, donated, and helped our team raise $45,613 to support kids in need. You legends are as smooth as they come!

STAY SMOOTH & BASH ON! 😎

🏆 TALK ABOUT A PHOTO FINISH! 🐎💨

We are absolutely blown away! Just as we were approaching the finish line of our fundraising for this year’s Variety Bash, the Sale Turf Club Foundation came charging down the straight to drop the final - and absolute biggest - donation of our entire campaign! 🏁

This incredible, late-stage surge truly raced us toward our final, mind-blowing Smooth Operators team fundraising tally of $45,565!!! 🤯🎉

To the Sale Turf Club Foundation: we cannot thank you enough for this smooth move & spectacular backing. Your generosity didn't just help us clear the final hurdle; it's going directly toward changing the lives of kids who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with a disability. You are absolute champions! 💛👶

The 2026 Variety Vic Bash has officially wrapped, and what a ride! Together, our incredible Bash community raised $2,664,457 for kids, making Variety Bash history.

A huge thank you once again to the Sale Turf Club Foundation as well as every Bash entrant, donor, partner and supporter who made it possible. 🙌🚗

Flash back to just over a week ago - a couple of Smooth Classics' at our fave pub in Exmouth - Cadillacs Cadillacs Bar & Grill Exmouth .... and a not so smooth ring-innmate Bart 😎

We had so much fun here catching up with all the Bashers!

JAILBROKEN! ... UPDATE Read this to the end to hear the outcome - a real feel good Variety story.

Today Smooth Operator Eagle in his hire car tried to help out Innmate Jase & his wife Lou who broke down on their way to Kalbarri. They had a mechanic try to fix the car in Denham but without the right parts it wasn't possible. Swapping batteries got them down the road a bit further...but Jailbreak conked out again. The call was made and a tilt tray was on it's way to take them to Geraldton where they hopefully have more luck with getting a new alternator.

The Bash might be over but theres still Bash Cars on the road heading down to Perth, without the Variety Bash mechanics following along. Its nice to catch up again with Bashers on the road.... and try to help them out if in need.

We couldn't resist getting some footage today, but as we know ourselves, it's stressful when things go wrong. Best wishes to Jason & Lou for the rest of their trip in the Jailbreak Bash car.

UPDATE FROM JAILBREAK - I have to tell you this story… the auto elect we took the car to last night has a disabled daughter in a wheelchair and Variety have helped them in so many ways. He didn’t charge us for the car and he’s got us up and going. Gave me goosebumps when Jason told me the whole story …amazing how many people are touched by this wonderful charity.!! 💕

We did it! 🎉 On Thursday we rolled smoothly into Exmouth to finish the 2026 Vic Variety Bash!

2️⃣ cars — Smooth1 (which almost made it 2 days! 🛠️) and then Smooth2, where we caught up and bashed on! 🚗💨

📍 5,328km from Halls Gap to Exmouth. 🗺️

An amazing 10 days! 🙌 Andrew Eagle & Lenny had an absolute blast — they loved meeting and getting to know their fellow bashers, stickering up, and smoothing over the other bash cars! ✨

What a great scene to have all the cars parked on the footy oval with all the families turning up!

We celebrated at the Whalebone Brewery where the drinks were smooth 🍻, the food was awesome 🍕, and the speeches, awards, and announcements were top-notch. Not to mention the smooth moves Eagle showed everyone when he got up and did the Eagle Rock! 🕺🦅

Wow — the 2026 Vic Variety Bash fundraising total was an incredible, record-breaking $2,664,457! 💰
This included our own Smooth Operators fundraising total of an amazing $40,565! Thankyou to all of the businesses and individuals who donated and helped us achieve this. You legends are so smooth! 😎

At the celebration on Thursday night, the Smooth Operators were awarded the trophy for car crew who overcame the most obstacles on the bash! 🏆 Which was fantastic!

From Sm01 breaking down near Port Lincoln in SA, to revising our plan on the go after Plan A was written off... more plans were hatched, and we ended up finding another car — 'the one-tonne Rodeo' — and got it ready to roll! 🛻

A massive thank you to:

The Variety mechanics who helped out with Sm01 🔧

The tilt tray driver

The Ambos who gave Eagle a lift

Harder Transport in Port Lincoln who loaned us a car to find another car

Reuben & the boys at Rocket Repairs who worked on the Rodeo

Janet at Ceduna Signs who printed our stickers at very short notice right before she went on a 4-week holiday!

The Variety Bash mechanics who worked on Sm02 to get the communications and air-conditioning working

And a huge thanks to all the Variety Bash officials and the other bash car teams who gave us their support and encouragement to keep bashing on. Thank you so much. It's really like ONE big team!

STAY SMOOTH & BASH ON! 😎

Bit of a quick smooth story 😎

Our Bash may not have gone to plan, we may have blown up, but we improvised and Bashed on!

We made it to the WA coast at Denham, Shark Bay last night. It sure is nice to see the water again! Currently enroute today to Coral Bay then inbound to Exmouth tomorrow to finish our amazing 2026 Variety Victoria Bash journey. Make sure you check out our 'stories' on both Insta &Facebook or our 'Highlights' on our instagram Smooth Operators page.

Eagle's son Charlie was at the 4x4 show in Melbourne on the weekend chatting to Mac Preston Mac Preston about our Vatiety Bash adventure & misfortune. Check out their page if you love all things 4WD!

1 day to go!!!! BASH ON!

There's still time to donate - link in comments!!!! Let's dig deep for the kids!

🚨 BASH CAR SPONSOR & B**R ALERT! 🍻

A beery big shout-out to the absolute legends at the Metung Hotel! 🏨🍻

The incredible owners at the Metung Pub have officially shared the love across four local Bash crews, donating generously to Smooth Operators, Highway Patrol, Jailbreak, and Lifesavers Downunder to support Variety - the Children’s Charity! 🚙💨

Clearly, Neilo, Ray, and the crew know exactly how much coin this particular lot spends over their bar. 🤫💸 It’s called a healthy return on investment, right?!

Every single one of these crews are absolute regulars at the Metung Pub, so it warms our hearts to see the pub owners looking after the locals who love a cold one.

Here is the full lineup of the Metung Pub’s favorite petrol-heads officially fueled by the best hotel in East Gippsland:

🚨 Highway Patrol – Constable Mark Coad & Sargeant Michael 'Jonesy' Jones.
⛓️ Jailbreak – Innmates Jason Dick, Justin 'Bart' Bartolo, and Michael Clark (Mick is actually the publican over at the Terminus Hotel in Bairnsdale—shout-out to another cracking East Gippsland pub!).
🛟 Lifesavers Downunder – Bancroft Baywatch? Matt Hardy, Andrew Williams, and Scott know the importance of staying hydrated.
🦺 Smooth Operators – Smoothies Andrew ' Skinnus' McInnes, Eagle Edwards & Lenny Marshall.

Check out the photo of this crew lined up at the Variety Bash B**r Truck! 🚚🍺 Let’s be honest, you will never find this group too far from a bar, whether they are home in Metung or out in the middle of the red dirt!

Cheers to Neilo, Ray, and the entire Metung Hotel family. Your incredible generosity is helping make a massive difference for kids in need. 🙌🍻 🫶

😎 STAY HYDRATED, STAY SMOOTH & BASH ON!
