Clean Flow DPF is a diesel emissions specialist for all diesels: DPF and EGR cleaning, intake carbon cleaning, AdBlue/SCR and tuning. We also diagnose and repair emissions-related faults like sensors and boost leaks. Workshop at 3/59 Flinders Parade, North Lakes, by appointment. Range Rover in at North Lakes with a DPF fault.

We started with a proper diagnosis rather than jumping straight to a clean. In this case the filter came good with a successful regen out on the road, so no chemical clean was needed. A MAP sensor fault code is still showing, which is a separate issue from the DPF.

Not every DPF light means the filter has to come off. Getting it diagnosed properly first can save you money.

Day one in the new North Lakes workshop, and the work's already rolling in. Our branding is on its way and the office fit-out is underway, so we're getting better every day while we keep the jobs moving.

Mitsubishi Triton: in with a DPF fault, and the owner also went for a stage one tune while it was here.

LDV T60 in with a DPF fault and the engine light on 🔧

The assessment turned up more than a blocked filter. Glow plugs 3 and 4 had both failed. On some vehicles faulty glow plugs affect combustion and the emissions side, and on this one they definitely did. They were a big part of why the engine light was on.

We also found a split intake hose on the cold side, which lets unmetered air in and throws the readings out.

The DPF got a full clean, and the causes were found so it doesn't just block up again. That's why a proper assessment matters before cleaning.

BMW X3 with the N47 2.0L diesel 🔧

This one came up on the Sunshine Coast with a DPF warning light. We ran a proper diagnosis and a full intake and exhaust clean.

The foam coming out of the exhaust in the second photo is the cleaning return, and it came out nice and clean, so the DPF itself wasn't the problem.

The real cause was a swirl flap issue in the intake, which was triggering the DPF light. It's a common one on the N47 and easy to miss if you only look at the DPF.

A good reminder that a DPF light doesn't always mean a blocked DPF.

Some news: Clean Flow DPF now has a workshop in North Lakes.

From Thursday 22 October you can drop your vehicle off at 3/59 Flinders Parade, North Lakes. We're next to JAX Tyres, sharing the same driveway.

DPF clean and fault find at the workshop is $650.
It's by appointment only, with no drive-ins, so please book first. Drop-offs are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturdays can be arranged.

To all my regulars, mobile service isn't going anywhere. I'll still come to you, quoted per vehicle.
