Had a customers VX L67 out at eastern creek for its 1st time in the burnouts.
It did really good.
Plenty of smoke and performed very well.

Engine mods:

Mace stage 2 cam kit with crow retainers.
Cam specs 213/226 116 lsa
Yella terra w2a ( the 25mm plate).
60lb injectors.
3" pulley 6 rib
Walbro 255 fuel pump
E85

Twin 2.5" black ops exhaust
X force headers, hi flow cats

Stock 4l60e
3.46 diff gears,locked.

Fuel E85
Power 239 rwkw @ 12psi.

Stock tb, stock maf tuned on the delco ecu.

VS V6 ute came in for dyno tune.
Mods:
Mace stage 3 cam
Ported heads
Extractors and 2.5" exhaust.
T5 manual
Stock diff gears.

Had chinese injectors so had to change them.
Please dont buy this junk off ebay you cant tune with them and just wastes time and $$$ in the long run.
Lucky i had a set so changed them out so i could tune it.
Despite an exhaust leak it tuned up really well and it made really good power for an N/A V6 and likes to rev.
Ended up with 174.5 rwkw which is up there with a bolt on L67 and some v8s its the highest N/A V6 ive seen yet on my dyno.

Something a bit different on the dyno!
Rx7 drift car with a vr v6 and turbo setup.
I tuned this prob 10 years ago made just under 200rwkw on 98.
Dead stock vr v6.
It was tuned with a delco 808 and nv ram setup.
Its been going all these years and now the owner did some upgrades
Like 62/62 precsion turbo
1000cc injectors
Valve springs
Apart from that stock with a T5 manual and 4.11 gears.
Also made the switch to e85 and saw some good gains.
The other thing the owner wanted was to extend the rev limit and with some tuning we got to rev out further with it still holding power and with more boost ended up at 266.8 rwkw@ 14 psi.
Quite good from a stock vr v6 and will be alot of fun.

Had robs vs ss back to finish up the tune after he fixed a couple issues from the last dyno session.
The fuel issue prevented me finishing the tune but we got it running ok and made 262rwkw.

Combo is
Holden 355 Stroker
VT roller block
S**t 355 crank with 5.7 Chev rods
5cc speed pro flat top pistons

VT heads, oversized inlet valves with short side of ports cleaned up.
130lb valve springs

Crow 41433 roller cam with Johnson tie bar lifters and 1.65 stud mount roller rockers.
Cam specs Crow 228/238 @50
607/603 lift.
110 lsa

Standard ignition with ice coil and 9mm ice leads

Bosch 440 cc injectors
Standard fuel lines with walbro 350

Eldebrock air gap manifold

4 barrell throttle body
Manta 4 into 1 headers into twin 2.5 exhaust system

3500 stall converter
Wrecker 4L60e hanging in there!

3.08 diff gears

So he ran a nice 0 guage ground from battery and post up front and new grounds and has fixed the ground issues pic in comments.
The fuel issue was also sorted.
Cleaned up the tune and ended up at 267rwkw.
Car runs so much better and now the car runs as it should.
All tuned on the delco ecu.

Persistance pays off.
Sometimes you just have to be patient not point fingers and just work together with your tuner to come up with solutions for problems and you will get the results.
This is just part of building cars sometimes.
Also pulled a plug and they look perfect.
Now rob can enjoy the car and go cruising.

Mace intake

Ended up with 186rwkw.
Manual L67 is a great combo.

Vx commodore L67 in for a tune and smaller pulley.
This L67 had a couple tunes and upgrades over the years and has jumped in power.
This time full exhaust twin 2.5" and
Mace cai.
Went from 3.4" pulley to 3".
It has a w2a mini cooler which does help a little bit with temps.
Still stock internally, stock cam.
Its actually an eco bottom end so lil more comp so have to tune accordingly.
Trans 4l60e
Diff standard

Put some new gapped ngk plugs in and ended up with 190.9 rwkw so good effort for a stock engine.
Next step would be a cam package to get over the 200rwkw+ mark.
All tuned on the delco ecu.

Been super busy lately so playing catch up with posting.
Had this vs 355 on the dyno after some issues were sorted from last attempt.
This car really tested us both.
The good thing i didnt give up and was determined to get to the bottom of this issue.
So car came in plugs fouled and i had to do the usual and set up tuning, check timing and gave the plugs a clean.
This car did not want to play ball.
No amount of tuning would stop plugs fouling not changes in the ve table nothing and just didnt seem right.
Sensors all working.
Changed coolant temp anyway as that usually the culprit.
Not this time.
Alt charging ok.
Ecu volts ok.
Tried diff ignition module no change.
This one had me for a bit and i was in a similar situation with another car and remembered i pointed out a bad ground at chassis and battery but the shop and customer never listened and due to them blaming my tuning it never got fixed and they went haltech instead and of course rewired so prob fixed the issue without realizing but just cant tell some people as they are not tuners and just dont understand.

Well this time i found the issue and it was a bad ground and lack of one really. It did have one but location makes a big difference.
The owner did a battery relocation did a good job but left an important ground off not only that these ecu's need a good ground or they just wont run right or tune up right.
So cleaned up ground points made a new cable and straight away runs
better unbeliveable but i know theses ecus do some really odd things with bad grounds.

So cleaned up plugs and dyno time.
I did get it pretty good but later by putting a pressure guage on we found it was 60 psi then would drop at high rpm ideally should be base 43 psi with no drop.
So that will be sorted later.
Depsite that managed 267 rwkw and i feel maybe a bit more once the fueling issue is sorted.
Also got it running and driving pretty well which was great.
Tuned with the factory delco ecu.

Had this ss in for a few small jobs and dyno tune.
Had stock injectors and a few things needed attention.
Engine originally built by THR.
355ci 286 ft cam. Come Racing TTB. T5 manual.
3.08 gears. I fixed up the fuel rail install had some post all uneven with washers so made some to the correct size and one piece.
Re did the cross over hose
Had some old hose and fittings looked horrible and just wouldnt trust it.
Replaced with speedflow fittings and 200 series hose.

Next upgraded the injectors to 42lb bosch injectors.
Fitted some ngk plugs
Adjusted clutch cable.
Fix some vac hoses.
New battery

Hit the dyno and ended up with 240rwkw which is really good for such a mild combo and drives well too.
Tuned with the delco ecu.

Sat dyno a bit different today.
My own car on the dyno.
VX SS 427ci with g57 98 mm turbo.
If anyone remembers it made 1300 hp last dyno session.
Not bad but my goal was always 1400 min and people that know me ive said that was my goal.
So today pulled the wastegate off changed springs to get there.
Eventually my plan is to go co2 or on board air for boost control but thats what i have atm.
There were some small changes made.
Bigger motion raceworks throttle body 92-102 and plug change and moved to Race e85 so not at 77-80% anymore and fuel is a bit better and consistant.
Cam is a bit on the small side for a solid roller but its making the power i want and thats all that matters.
It also drives well has no vac pump for brakes so cant complain.
Ended up at 1452rwhp at the hubs and although its got plenty more im leaving it there as it really needs a 4 link rear to go any further.

Had this very cool VT clubsport come all the way from tamworth on sat.
The father and son trailered it to the shop for dyno tune.
Specs are
355 ci
S**t crank, h beam rods , forged pistons.
Comp about 9.8
Stock heads
Roller cam, lunati 226/231 duration @50 and 112 lsa
Stock manifold hpc coated and slight porting.
5 speed getrag
Std diff gears
Pacemaker headers ceramic coated
Twin 2.5" exhaust.

So being a new engine and still being run in i did some tuning under varying loads and some partial dyno runs.
Then changed oil and went that bit further and cut the oil filter open to check the filter. All looked good and everything was checked over.
Once i started doing power runs this one really surprised me doing a best of 249.3 rwkw which is the stock manifold record on this dyno. Most ive ever seen is 220 ish and 230 on a roller dyno.
This combo just works but it still has the typical fall off at 5500 rpm with these manifolds.
Test drive was great would cruise around with no bucking at lower rpm even 4th and 5th at 50-60 kph and just drove nice with plenty of power on tap.
Tuned on the factory delco ecu and factory maf sensor.
It also made an appearance at the all holden day which was great to see and the car looks great.
