Volvo truck chassis repair.
The CPR Truck and Trailer team was asked to inspect and complete a major chassis repair on this Volvo truck. The project was split into two key stages: stripping and assessing the chassis, then, once the repair quote was approved, rebuilding it with a combination of new and existing parts.
During stage one, the team stripped the chassis back, carefully photographed, marked and tagged key components, removed crossmembers, bracing, suspension, airlines and electrical harnesses, then arranged sandblasting and NDT inspection.
With the repair quote approved, the chassis was painted to specification before the vehicle was returned to the CPR workshop. From there, the team refitted the chassis with new OEM crossmembers and brackets, reinstalled the electrical and air system components, refitted the suspension, and re-torqued all chassis, suspension and wheel fasteners to spec.
Once complete, the Volvo truck was ready for the road again. If you need assistance getting your equipment back on the road, talk to the team at CPR Truck and Trailer today.
