Dylans bought in his zd30 conversion to td42-t patrol for a tune *NOTE! rpm tacho isn’t reading correctly and we have guessed rpm with 35z and 4:11z. It has a brand new Radius Fabrication exhaust manifold onto a brand new United Fuel Injection 21l with a High Performance Diesel intercooler it is running one of ufis older spec 12mm pumps but someone previously had played with the fuel screw and fuel pin causing it to be very unresponsive under 2,100 rpm. The customer was always happy with the 200hp it was making, he just wanted it drivable and we have absolutely achieved that previous torque at 2100rpm was 220nm and its now seeing 460nm at the same rpm a gain of 240nm making it far more drivable! 🕺🏼

Good afternoon everyone the results are in with josh’s gu patrol! Now sporting the JH Hilux “billy gov” 140cc 11mm our goal was to achieve 180-200hp on the 35”z and boy has it easily achieved that! Base run this morning of 58kw and 220nm to it now seeing 150kw and 535nm at the wheels 🛞 thats a gain of 92kw and 315nm 🕺🏼 the torque gain from 1600rpm to 2000rpm is absolutely night and day!

Happy Thursday everyone josh has bought in his gu wagon after installing a psico airbox / United Fuel Injection 18g turbo and clutch, pdi front mount intercooler, and a brand new set of injectors! It currently has the untouched factory 11mm pump and with the base runs showing just under 60kw and 220nm on the 35z it sure shows its all original and hasn’t been tuned previously. What we have in store from the beer enthusiasts at JH Hilux is there “billy mod” 140cc 11mm pump! We will be aiming to make around 180-200hp and i cant wait to see the before and after 🕺🏼

Happy hump day everyone! Heres part 2 tech
Tips from blakes 1hdt 80 series cruiser that you can see from yesterday’s dyno graph when it literally “falls over” with power and torque from 2300 rpm! you can all check yourselves at home literally the simplicity of having “full throttle” unfortunately anything thats cable / lever operated over 20 plus years of use the cables and levers can stretch or bend the accelerator pedal itself or when using aftermarket pumps some require more pedal travel than your original pump to achieve “full throttle” this is one of many basic things we check on every single car during out dyno tuning process ✌🏻 🕺🏼

Blakes 1HD-T is all done and dusted 🫶🏻 now this had several issues ranging from being fuel screw tuned to the moon 🌙 seeing 12:1 off boost afrs smoking the shop out to having zero shims in it and with how cruiser fuel pins work is if the fuel pin goes too deep it runs into the reverse taper on the over boost actually pulling fuel out not adding it to not even seeing full throttle at the pump ( i will do a video on this tomorrow morning you all can check yourselves for free!!! And literally gain free power and torque ( im not kidding ) to the turbosmart boost tee being shagged having zero control of boost and it had gone well over 30 psi once we started correcting all the fuelling issues in the pump and was a simple fix
of replacing it with a brand new turbosmart boost tee and correctly turning it to a super safe 22psi with the munro turbo and fmic! As arrived it made a horrendous sooty 94kw and 480nm at the wheels to completely fall over by 2300 rpm as it wasn’t even seeing full throttle to it now making 132kw and 450nm at the wheels 🕺🏼 note! Now its actually getting full throttle pay attention to the power and torque curve it now happily pulls all the way through the rpm and now without all the soot so past 2300 the improvements in power and torque is night and day👌🏻

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope everyone’s had a fantastic long weekend we have blakes 1HD-T 80 series cruiser in to address some absolutely wild cowboy tuning thats has been done. This video shows “no boost load” at 1,000 rpm with the afrs around 11.8 12.0 with the wildest soot gets the moot cloud we have seen in a while from a cruiser. This one has a list of faults we have found and now are in the process of sorting out. Stay tuned while we “un cowboy” this poor 1hdt 🕺🏼 🫶🏻

Happy Thursday everyone! Coopers bought in his gu nissan patrol ute in for some further upgrades! Currently has a United Fuel Injection 21l and there ufi clutch, a massive Radius Fabrication ls1 air filter airbox and a 5” snorkel on a generic top mount intercooler. As you can see from the graphs the poor old 11mm pump is very tiered 😴 its creating quite a mexican wave of power seeing a max of 70kw and 260nm at the wheels! So cooper has decided to get a ufi 230hp 12mm. Unfortunately sometimes ufi are out of stock but companies like hayden at HDAutomotive also keep in stock a huge array of parts including ufi pumps / turbos / injectors / clutches and everything else in between from other major companies! so we managed to jump the queue as such and they sent one down and low and behold after we opened it up the package stated it was a 230hp 12mm but the id tag on this one states its a 300hp party pump!!! 🥳 now we absolutely won’t be aiming for those figures today and will be aiming for a modest 220-230hp as that was what cooper originally wanted. Stay tuned 🎶 🕺🏼 this ones going to make his patrol night and day to drive!

Good afternoon everyone, another reminder again please do not book cars in for a tune when the vehicle is in absolutely no state to be ran on the dyno. Now truthfully no one knew about the issues found with rust and the horrendous “self tune fuel pin groove” in the aftermarket fuel pump but key points here are………

* egt probe just chilling in the left inner guard on the engine bay so it clearly doesn’t work
*plastic cable tie used to hold the hong kong rod bender wastegate actuator on and nuts missing to lock rod
*again with bad oil leaks
*intercooler piping and silicone joiners rubbing on everything (body in multiple places and bullbar where front mount is, squished piping around battery / power steering pump with obvious deep cuts / grooves in the silicone joiners can see were obvious leaks are.
* brake master cylinder empty ( handbrake warning light on ) obvious brake fluid leaking from back of brake master to booster.
* this vehicle isn’t a “genuine td42” and its had a zd30 cab swap and the wiring is horrific ( they have attempted to hybrid the zd and td loom ) and having things like a working rpm tacho don’t work and the glow plugs aren’t working like factory amongst the wiring / conversion issues, customer never told me of this until they dropped it off.
* intake piping to hong kong rod bender not even tight nor is it on correctly and i have a gut feeling its been a dyson sucking in dust.

I take too much pride in my work / tuning to always give you the customer the best results / experience please i don’t know how many times i need to keep saying if you honestly are unsure on your vehicles condition but want a tune we need to book in vehicle inspections and repairs first. Dyno tuning will never “fix” a severally unmaintained car.

This vehicle wasn’t tuned and the customer must get a full mechanical check over done and get the car up to spec and address the wiring so gauges work as they should.

Happy Monday everyone! We got stock coming in from everybody this week! United Fuel Injection 18g turbos and there upgraded clutch and genuine rear main seals and gaskets and other parts from Patrolapart & Navarapart for builds we will be commencing shorty, they will be getting pumps from JH Hilux (pumps are on route to us this week ) the boys at Resurrection 4x4 have just dropped off this gu nissan patrol that they have fitted a 2nd hand ufi 18g and factory turbo manifold on with custom intake to the Fatz Induction & Exhaust airbox and a Johnny Tig top mount intercooler. And ill be changing out the old 10mm fuel pump for a 2nd hand dpu 12mm that had been “refurbished” by hi-tech in Adelaide. So we will get that on and can’t wait to see the numbers this silvertop will make! 🕺🏼
