Previously built and upgraded by another shop, these turbos were suffering some Bearing noise so were in for a basic Gt rebuilds!

Preventative maintenance is cheaper than new turbos!

Done properly, Detroit Diesel 8v92 turbochargers rebuilt and properly coated for a extended life span!

Salt water/ salt air/ extreme temperatures/ diesel exhaust.
A recipe for rust and corrosion !

These turbine housings have been coated by in a silver ceramic coat that then gets polished for the ultimate in Heat / Anti rust properties!
This can add some wait time to the rebuild process, but its a necessary job so we dont have to see these again in 12 months for a sleeve or a turbine housings replacement.

Whilst borgwarner EFR brand is known for its response, Drivability and an outright dominator in wide powerband, they are known to have some bad boost control when in their internally gated options for low boost applications.

Especially on a rotor, this is how we open up the wastegate ports so they actually flow enough exhaust gas to run anything under 18psi boost safely.
Its a timely process but its worth it.
