👀 BEHIND THE SCENES | MEET JASON

If Terry is at the helm of Sowerbys Towing, then it’s fair to say Jason is his right-hand man. 🚛

Jason’s history with Sowerbys goes back further than Terry’s ownership — he was already part of the team before Terry took over the business in 2012. Since then, he’s been there through the growth, the changes, the challenges and probably more interesting recoveries than anyone could count.

Around here, Jason is one of our go-to people when a job isn’t quite straightforward. The awkward recoveries, the unusual loads, the “how exactly are we going to move that?” jobs — chances are Jason will have an idea. There’s a lot of knowledge tucked away in that head!

Away from towing, Jason is a proud dad and a big speedway fan — although we’re fairly certain towing, trucks and problem-solving are never too far from his mind. 🏁

Dependable, experienced and always willing to help work through the tricky ones, Jason has been a huge part of Sowerbys for many years and continues to be an important part of what keeps our operation moving every day.

Shout out to his lovely partner Lauren for putting up with all the craziness that she is apart of here at Sowerbys.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE ONE AND THE ONLY MR TERRY BELLETTE.

Wishing you an awesome day away from the chaos of work.

🚛 TIP OF THE WEEK — CLEAR ACCESS

Our drivers are bloody legends—but unfortunately, they aren’t actual superheroes! 🦸‍♂️

A tilt tray needs enough safe, clear space to reach and load your vehicle. Locked gates, parked cars, narrow driveways, low branches and difficult terrain can all affect access.

If getting to your vehicle might be tricky, please let our friendly staff know when booking. A quick heads-up helps our drivers arrive prepared with the right truck and equipment.

Even legends need access! 😉

🚛 TOW OF THE WEEK 🚛

How good does this Toyota GT86 look! 😎

This beauty hitched a ride with Sowerbys down to The 86 Shop in Brisbane for some work. Even the sporty ones deserve a chauffeur every now and then! 😉

Need your pride and joy transported to a workshop? Give our team a call — we’ll help get it where it needs to go.

🌅 BEHIND THE SCENES | SPRING IS IN THE AIR

There are definitely worse views from the office! 🚛

With spring in the air and some surprisingly warm days already upon us, we’re starting to see more of our wildlife friends out and about — particularly around dawn and dusk. 🦘🦘

For those of us travelling our regional and rural roads, it’s a timely reminder to keep your eyes up, ease off the accelerator and expect the unexpected.

Wildlife can appear on the road in a split second, and where there’s one, there can often be another close behind.

So as the days get warmer and we all spend a little more time out on the road, slow down, stay alert and give our local wildlife a chance to get home safely too.

🌧️ Wet roads? Take it easy, Toowoomba.

A little extra care can make a big difference. Slow down, leave more room between you and the vehicle ahead, and give yourself extra time to get where you’re going.

If you come across water over the road, please don’t risk it—if it’s flooded, forget it.

Our Sowerbys Towing crew is here 24/7 if you need a hand. We’d love to see everyone get home safely. ❤️💙

Take care out there and look after each other.

🔑 TIP OF THE WEEK — DON’T FORGET THE KEYS

Does your vehicle have keys? Does it start, steer, roll and brake—and most importantly, have the keys been left somewhere accessible for our driver?

These little details help us send the right truck, bring the right equipment and complete your tow safely and efficiently.

Please let us know when booking and remember to hand over the keys! 🚗🔑

🎉 DOUBLE WORK ANNIVERSARY! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating two familiar faces and valued members of the Sowerby’s Towing team—Andrew and Clayton!

⭐ Andrew – 4 years

Pictured here with his beautiful wife Tammy, Andrew is Our Roma-born superstar and has now been with us for four years. Whether he’s attending crashes, completing trade tows or tackling whatever the day throws his way, Andrew is always ready to get the job done. Thanks for everything you bring to the team, Andrew!

⭐ Clayton – 8 years

As our second-longest-serving employee, Clayton has been part of the Sowerby’s family for an impressive eight years. Although he now works casually with us alongside his role at Toowoomba Regional Council, he remains our reliable, man of mystery (because because I can never get a picture of him ) weekend driver and dedicated function support crew—always available for a tow and a little gossip about everything he’s missed since his last shift! 😂

Congratulations on your work anniversaries, Andrew and Clayton. We’re very lucky to have you both as part of the Sowerby’s team! 🚛👏
