After a mishap on day one, it was straight back to the workshop for an all-nighter. 💪 The old motor came out, the new one went in, and we had it ready to go for 2day being on day 3

Roday drove on, laid down some skids, and drove back off! Couldn’t ask for a better result! Huge effort from everyone involved, and it was awesome to see it all come together and turn out!

It’s been a busy week here at Snail Performance! 🔥

We got a call from a good mate asking if we could help him out. He’d been invited to skid at the Townsville V8’s in just 3 weeks, but the engine was only just sitting in the car.

We hit pause on the HJ project and told him, “Get it towed over Monday afternoon, and we’ll have it running by Sunday.” 💪

Fast forward to Sunday lunchtime… we turned the key, and just like that, she fired into life! Hearing that engine fire up for the first time made all the hard work worth it.

Now it’s one step closer to hitting the skid pad at Townsville V8! 🏁🔥

Big shoutout to Jarrett Smith for trusting us with his newly picked up VK 👌

He gave us a call wanting a full once-over so he could cruise it with confidence — and we’re always keen to help keep these classics running right.

After going through the car, we found a couple things that definitely needed some attention… so we got straight into it 🔧

That power cable was sitting a little too close to the exhaust 😅 and the earth cable… let’s just say a roofing screw isn’t exactly ideal. Nothing we couldn’t sort out properly.

Here’s what we knocked over:
• New earth cable installed
• Power cable rerouted and secured
• Full engine service
• Coolant flush
• And of course… a cool little sticker to top it off 🤙🏻
