It's been a busy couple of weeks and one job that have had in is this built engine for this lucky customer.
This our street / mild track package with upgraded head studs.
This package consists of
* Block honed to size
* ACL race series main and conrod bearings
* New OEM pistons and rings gapped for FI.
* Supertech H beam forged conrods.
* Pistons and rods are balanced in house.
* All bearing clearances check before assembly.
* ARP CA 625+ head studs ( optional ) normally ARP 2000 head studs.
* Cometic or HKS head gaskets ( depends on availability )
* Reconditioned cylinder heads with new valve stem seals and GSC Beehive valve springs.
* New timing chains and guides
* Camshaft variators are dismantled and cleaned
* Camshafts are checked for straightness and journals micro polished.
* Valve clearances are all set to our spec.
* OEM gaskets and o-rings used throughout.
* HKS Spark plugs
* This engine was also optioned with a Killer Bee oil pick up.
One place that we do differ to many is that we use 5W-30 Joe Gibbs Driven run in oil as all other run in oils are a higher weight than what we like to use on a new engine with tight clearances.
This combination is capable of running 16 - 18psi reliably for mild track use and even more for street use. These are also a great combo for people who want a daily driver that will do bulk klms without the worry of forge pistons wearing and rattling over time.
Now for a few thousand km of running in and then back on the dyno to max the current G25-550.
