Nigel Tolhurst Clerk of the Scales Memorial Jockey Challenge - WELLINGTON BOOT 2026

Donated by his wife Sharon Tolhurst and the Wellington & District Leader in memory of Nigel Tolhurst, a highly respected clerk of the scales in the Central and Western districts.

Conducted across the two days of the Wellington Boot Racing Carnival, this challenge honours Nigel’s long-standing contribution to racing.

The leading jockey is determined on aggregate points across all races, with points awarded to placegetters throughout the carnival.

The winner receives a perpetual trophy along with cash prizes awarded to the top three place getters.
