🖤 New black canvas soft top fitted to this 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350. The old top had done its dash after years in the weather — faded, worn thin at the fold lines, and seams coming apart.

Stripped back, new canvas fitted with the heated glass rear window bonded and wired back in, all seams sealed for a proper watertight finish. Quality Haartz canvas top aligned perfectly over the convertible frame — no point fitting a new top if it doesn't sit right when it's up.

🔧 Convertible tops are a job that rewards patience — get the tension and alignment right and it'll last years. Rush it and things will never be quite right.

Universal Upholstery is on the hunt for a 1st Year Apprentice Motor Trimmer to join our Wodonga team. No two days are the same — one day you're stitching up a modern car interior, the next you're fitting out a custom hot rod or trimming a jet ski seat. You'll get hands-on with steel and woodworking tools for frame-building, pick up welding, use mechanic's tools to strip down car and boat interiors, and learn your way around industrial sewing machines — all taught by trimmers who genuinely love the craft.

What we're looking for:
✅ Completed Year 10 (minimum)
✅ Keen to learn a real trade, not just clock in and out
✅ Good with your hands, good attitude, ready to work
✅ Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Full interior retrim on this 1980 Hinton, including the bimini top 🔥.

The original vinyl had gone brittle and cracked with age — 40+ years in the sun will do that — so we stripped it back to bare fibreglass and rebuilt the seats, side panels, floor and wall carpet, and the bimini.

Seating in fresh white marine vinyl with blue piping. Same clean factory lines, all new materials.

Boats this age are still solid where it counts — the fibreglass and layout on these old Hintons holds up. It's the trim that wears out first. If yours is looking tired and worn out, we can bring it to life again.

A few minutes now saves a mouldy cover next time you open it up.

1. Dry it out fully before folding away — don't pack it away wet!
2. Avoid sealed bags — a bit of airflow stops mould and mildew
3. Check zips and press studs before storage so they're not seized come next use
4. Store somewhere dry and out of direct sun

Custom canvas cover for a Lotus Caravans storage box — made to fit around every angle, vent, and fitting on this custom unit 🏕️. Grey polyester canvas, felt-lined to protect the paintwork, with zip access panels front and sides, and press studs around the bottom to keep it secured. Getting a cover to hug a shape this complex takes careful pattern work — some complicated angles on this box!

Another one for the camping and caravan owners: if it's exposed to the weather, we can pattern a cover for it.

Three vintage bridge chairs back from the brink. These carver chairs came in tired and dated, but the timber frames — turned legs, reeded arms — were far too good to let go. Fully re-webbed and re-foamed, then dressed in a botanical print in Warwick's Healesville "Desert" colourway, banksias and flannel flowers through it.

Same shape, same solid old joinery, completely new life.

Jobs like this are why we love the trim trade — sometimes the best result is bringing a good frame back rather than starting over.
