Here’s an easy little tyre check you can do at home with just a 20c coin. 🪙

Pop an Australian 20c coin into one of the main tread grooves. If the tread doesn’t reach the platypus’ bill, you’re getting down to around 3mm of tread and it’s worth thinking about replacing your tyres.

The legal minimum tread depth is 1.5mm, but you definitely don’t want to wait until your tyres are completely worn out, especially with the wet roads we get around the Bass Coast.

Not sure how yours are looking? Pop into WAC Automotive and Garth can check them for you. And if you’re due for a new set, we can supply and replace your tyres too.

When something comes apart, we don’t just throw everything on the bench and hope for the best. Parts are carefully laid out, bolts are grouped and kept together, and everything is organised as we work.

It’s a simple thing, but that extra care and attention to detail is how we make sure everything goes back together exactly as it should.

Your vehicle is in good hands with us.

When was the last time you checked your oil?

It’s a simple little check that can help you stay on top of your engine health and spot a problem before it turns into something bigger.

Not sure where the dipstick is, what level it should be at, or how to check it properly? No worries, bring your car in and we’ll happily give you a hand.

Got a rough idle or an engine that just doesn’t feel quite right?

It doesn’t always mean there’s a major engine problem. Sometimes the issue can come down to something smaller, like a worn or warped carburettor affecting how the engine runs.

That’s why proper diagnostics matter. We’ll take the time to find the actual cause rather than just guessing.

If your car is idling rough, stalling or running differently than usual, give Garth a call and we’ll have a look.

A nice little before and after on this one 👌

We upgraded the underbody protection to give this 4WD a bit more confidence underneath, especially for rougher roads, tracks and everyday knocks.

The new protection gives better coverage for the important components underneath and is a worthwhile upgrade if your vehicle sees a bit more than just the bitumen.

Need something checked, upgraded or repaired on your 4WD? Give Garth a call.
