Parents ask us this a lot: will the day work with young kids? It does, and private makes it much easier. 💙

Kids don't always run on a schedule, so on a private boat, your captain works around your family. Stay longer at the sandbar if they're having fun, take a snack break whenever someone needs one, or skip a stop if it's nap time.

You also don't have to worry about holding up other guests, because the only people on board are your family and your captain. For most parents, that's what makes the day relaxing instead of stressful.

Here's what the flight to the Exumas actually looks like. ✈️

Check in at the airport in Nassau in the morning.
Board a small plane with your group.
Spend about 30 minutes in the air, with the cays below you most of the way.
Land at Staniel Cay, where our team meets you and takes you over to the boat.

That's the difference flying makes. By the time a boat from Nassau would still be crossing, you're already at your first stop.

Sometimes the best reason to upgrade to private is the simplest one: you do not want to spend your vacation with people you do not know. 😁🌴

No introductions, no adjusting to someone else's pace, no sharing the sandbar with a group you just met that morning. It is just your people and your captain for the day.

From Nassau to the Cays. Packing for the Exumas does not need to be complicated. 👀

Swimsuit, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, a layer for the flight, and your phone. Everything else, from snorkel gear to lunch to entrance fees, is part of the experience and already taken care of.

One of the most common things we hear: "I'm only in Nassau for a few days, I don't have time for the Exumas." 🤔

That's actually when it makes the most sense. The flight from Nassau is only 30 minutes. You land at Staniel Cay in the morning, hop across the Cays, and you're back in Nassau that same afternoon.

Lunch, snorkel gear, and a captain who knows the route are already waiting when you arrive.

The sooner you get here, the sooner the good part starts.

People compare the fly-in price to a boat tour price, which makes sense until you compare the days…

One gets you to a few stops for a short time after a long crossing. The other gets you six stops across the Exuma Cays, a captain who has been running this route for years, and every detail handled before you land; not to mention, twice as much time in the Exumas as a boat tour.

The flight alone gives you back about four to five hours that would otherwise go to sitting on a boat wondering when you will arrive. ✨☀️

It is not the same product at a different price. It is a different day entirely.

For a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or family milestone, a private day gives your group room to make the experience feel like yours. 🌴💫

Your captain knows what the day is about before you arrive. That shows up in the details: where to stop for the photo, when to give your group the beach to yourselves, and how long to stay when everyone is clearly having a good time.

On a boat with forty guests, the experience is the itinerary… but on a boat with twelve, the experience is whatever is happening around you. 🌴🌊

A nurse shark that swims closer than expected. A reef on an unusually clear day. A captain who adjusts the timing because the light at the grotto is worth waiting for another ten minutes.

When the group is that big, you get from one stop to the next before you can savor any of it. With only twelve people, you actually take it all in.

Our definition of swimming is a little different out here. 👌💙

Most people picture dipping a toe in the pool or standing at the edge of the beach. In the Exumas, it means feeding the pigs from the boat, hopping off onto a sandbar, photographing the sunken plane, and visiting the iguanas, all without needing a single stroke.

Swim when you feel like it, float with a life jacket, watch the nurse sharks from the deck, or take in the ride between stops. However you spend it, you are still part of the day.
