The pixel car lives again!

All gears and engine confirmed. Last stages of work before we can make it out on track tomorrow. Thanks to our guys for putting in the work to get this car back in shape.

It’s been countless hours of travel, disassembly, parts inventory, inspection and rebuild and we’re now in the home stretch.

While this certainly isn’t the most prepared car we’ve ever loaded for a race, in some seasons, this is what it takes.

Progress update!

Stripped and ready to load.
During drivetrain checks, we found a few neutrals and decided to split and investigate. A broken input shaft and clutch meant we couldn’t reassemble the car until parts arrive from and their parts truck arriving for the race weekend.

We’ll load up and make our way to Ohio where generously offered some space to finish assembly close to the track!

Time to dig into the damages, make lists of the replacement vs repair items, clean the car, scale and measure to make sure nothing else is bent.

While the chassis is addressed, drivetrain components are checked closely for damages as well. The right side bodywork, radiators, ducts and brackets showed the worst of it, but sideways hit like this can be deceiving as a lot of energy is transferred through the chassis, suspension and axles.

We’ll add more details in the comments as we go and happy to answer any questions along the way!

Big thanks to the great team at Calabogie Motorsports Park for quick action on scene and helping remove the car from the tirewall. Lots of bodywork damage to the entire right side of the car, but fortunate to see it tracking straight on the way back to the shop. Time to start pulling panels, assessing the damage and building our parts list…There aren’t too many of these new generation LMP3s in North America. Between our team inventory and Ligier we’re hoping to get what we need in time for load-in on Thursday!

Drivers always talk about their best laps;
Fastest straight speed, most G’s in a corner, latest braking…

Why is doesn’t matter:
How often do we actually get that opportunity in a race?
One of our favourite parts about spec Miata racing is the racing itself! And navigating within a large pack is a unique skill that requires drivers to alter and open their expected radius through a corner.

That’s where races are won or lost.

So drivers, as you get back up to speed this season, head out with a fellow racer you trust and try some side-by-side sessions where it forces you to open the radius and find time while giving space to another competitor.
We promise you’ll like it.

Or TWOth team drivers can join our new Miata Accelerator sessions at to practice that and more fun exercises to make you safer and more competent in traffic this season. 😉

Back to our endurance roots with the NA Miata at with two 7-hour races this weekend in the

After over a decade of ChampCar racing with our front wheel drive Civics, it’s been a fun transition to the Miata, competing for A class honours with a lightweight rear wheel drive.

Our in-house NA also makes its competition debut as the entry point of our development ladder now carrying the bright pixel livery.

As always, the in-car feed is broadcast live thanks to our friends at .live who’ll be joining us for the race!
