Your car’s spooky soundtrack deserves a closer look. 👻🔧

• Squealing brakes? They may be asking for attention.
• Slow to start? Your battery or starting system could need checking.
• Clunking over bumps? It’s worth having your steering and suspension inspected.

You don’t have to figure it out yourself. At LADS Auto, we’ll investigate, explain what we find, and help you understand what needs attention.

Accurate repairs start with the right diagnosis.

Flickering headlights can point to more than a worn bulb. Loose connections, charging issues and aftermarket LED compatibility can all play a role.

At LADS Auto, we identify the cause, explain what we find and recommend the repair your vehicle needs. Clear answers. Informed decisions.

Your dashboard has a lot to say for someone you’ve been ignoring since August. 😂

Be honest… are you booking it in or turning up the radio? 👀

Not every little brake noise means you need new brakes—but some warning signs shouldn’t be ignored.

A brief squeal after rain, snow, or sitting overnight can sometimes come from surface moisture or rust. Have your brakes inspected if you notice:

⚠️ Squealing that keeps returning
⚠️ Grinding or scraping
⚠️ A soft, spongy, or sinking brake pedal
⚠️ Shaking or pulsating while braking
⚠️ Pulling to one side
⚠️ Longer stopping distances or a brake warning light

Your brakes may still stop the vehicle while a problem is developing, but that doesn’t mean everything is okay.

If braking suddenly feels different or unsafe, don’t keep driving. Arrange a tow and have it checked. LADS Auto can help determine what’s normal—and what needs attention.

That mystery puddle under your car isn’t always an emergency—but it shouldn’t automatically be ignored either. 👀

The colour, texture, smell, and location can offer clues about what’s leaking. Clear water after using the A/C is usually normal, while oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, fuel, or power-steering fluid may need attention.

A few important rules:

🔧 Don’t touch or taste an unknown fluid
🔧 Take note of its colour and where it appeared
🔧 Watch for warning lights or changes in how the vehicle drives
🔧 If you smell fuel, see an oil-pressure warning, notice overheating, or experience braking changes, stop driving and arrange a tow

Colour alone can’t confirm the source, but it’s a helpful starting point. Save this guide—and if you’re unsure, let LADS Auto take a closer look.

Technically, the dashboard light isn’t visible anymore… so the problem is fixed, right? 😂

Unfortunately, electrical tape isn’t preventative maintenance. If a warning light appears:

⚠️ Note which symbol came on
⚠️ Check whether it’s solid or flashing
⚠️ Pay attention to noises, smells, or changes in performance
⚠️ Check your owner’s manual for its meaning
⚠️ Have the vehicle inspected before a small issue becomes a larger repair

If a red warning light appears—or the vehicle is overheating, running roughly, or losing power—pull over safely and get advice before continuing.

Covering the light doesn’t fix the problem. LADS Auto can help you figure out what your vehicle is trying to tell you.

Cold weather doesn’t always cause a battery problem, it often exposes one that was already developing. 🔋❄️

Watch for these early warning signs:

🔧 Slow or sluggish starts
🔧 Clicking when you turn the key
🔧 Dim lights or struggling electronics
🔧 Needing a boost more than once
🔧 An older battery with an unknown history

These symptoms can also point to the starter or charging system, so testing is the best way to know what’s actually happening.

Have your battery checked at LADS Auto before Calgary’s first cold snap decides to test it for you.

You don’t need to speak fluent mechanic—and yes, making the noise for us is completely acceptable. 😂

The smallest details can help us narrow down what’s happening:

🔧 When did it start?
🔧 Does it happen while braking, turning, accelerating, or idling?
🔧 Does it change with speed?
🔧 Did any warning lights appear?
🔧 Was anything recently repaired?

Even if you’re not sure how to describe the problem, tell us everything you noticed. Those little clues can make diagnosing your vehicle a whole lot easier.

“It only happens at a completely reasonable and definitely legal speed.” 👀😂

No judgment—but when you’re describing a vehicle problem, the details really do help:

🔧 What speed were you travelling?
🔧 Were you accelerating or braking?
🔧 Were you driving straight or turning?
🔧 Did the noise change as you sped up?

“Legal speed” is technically an answer. It’s just not a very helpful one.
