✨ Cheaper Isn’t Always Better. ✨

This Mazda CX-90 came to us after a local installer chose a lower-cost ceramic coating to install on this brand new vehicle

After only a couple of months, the coating wasn’t delivering the gloss, water beading, and protection the customer expected from a professionally coated vehicle. As a result, the entire process had to be redone from the ground up.

We performed a full decontamination, paint correction, and installed a premium Feynlab ceramic coating system to give this Mazda the protection and performance it deserved.

This is why choosing the right installer is just as important as choosing the coating itself. Many installers choose a ceramic coating that is cheapest but when it comes to surviving Canadian weather and daily driving conditions, shortcuts often reveal themselves quickly.

🚗 Why We Refinished This Honda Civic the Right Way 🚗

This Honda Civic has no moldings or natural cut-off lines in the repair area, which means the proper repair is to refinish the panel up and over, edge to edge, just as it was painted at the factory.

Unfortunately, many shops follow insurance cost-saving guidelines and create a hard line in the clear coat where there is no natural break. It may look okay initially, but over time those edges can become visible and affect the appearance of the repair.

At Provision Collision, we focus on the quality and longevity of the repair—not the cheapest option. That’s why we refinished this Civic the way it was originally built, creating a seamless finish with no visible repair lines.

Sometimes the damage you can see is only a fraction of the actual repair needed underneath. This 2025 Honda Civic is a perfect example of why proper teardown and inspection matter so much in collision repair.

At first glance, many people would look at this and say:
“Just a scratched bumper and a small dent.”

But once we performed a full disassembly and damage analysis, the truth told a completely different story. The impact travelled directly through the left rear quarter area, damaging the quarter panel far beyond what was visible externally. What appeared to be a “minor cosmetic repair” actually requires a full quarter panel repair to restore the vehicle properly and safely.

This is exactly why modern collision repair is NOT about quick fixes or covering damage with filler. Today’s vehicles are engineered with extremely specific structural and panel integrity standards. If the metal is stretched, stressed, or compromised in the wrong areas, proper OEM-level repairs become critical.

On this Civic:
• The damage spread through the quarter structure
• Multiple high and low spots were found during inspection
• The impact distorted the panel well beyond the visible scrape area
• Proper repair procedures require extensive metal correction and refinishing to bring it back to pre-accident condition
